Of course Jon Heyman, on the score, mentions Yankees and Red Sox next offseason for Machado. But they’re not quite sure where Machado is going to want to go yet.
That's why it's important to get him in the organization now if indeed you want a shot at his services next offseason.
The O's are fairly pathetic. Why worry about what the Yankees will do? Maybe we trade him at the deadline. So beat them. Isnt that what this sport is about?
Wasnt there a rumor that he didnt want the spotlight? How is going to the Angels,Dodgers or Giants going to fix that problem? The perfect team would have been Oakland.

What I do blame them for is making it appear everyone had some sort of chance, when it is now quite obvious that wasn't the case. I wonder if they even bothered examining half the presentations. When you have $300k to gvie him and the White Sox recent history, you can't blame him for looking elsewhere. KW is mad like I am made after I buy a Powerball ticket and don't win.
His criteria is a little stupid though. Apparently small market teams unless your in the LA area...which is now a small market?
Look at this post from a yankees forum
"If this trade involves any of the following, I'm going to be super-pissed:
Rutherford, Andujar, Florial, Clint Frazier, Torres
Sheffield, Adams, Acevedo, German"
