  1. QUOTE (hi8is @ Dec 25, 2016 -> 01:46 PM) Couldn't disagree more. It's all speculation dude. Half a year of Samdazjiezyeahhh got the top SS prospect in the game, the number four prospect in baseball at the time. No one knows what we could get now, or at the deadline, or next year, or in three years. Only thing that isn't speculative is this: if Quintana keeps pitching the way he has - he'all always be in demand and will always command a haul. Except the free agent market is a little more saturated with pitchers next year plus the changes in team compensation probably decreases the chances he would get traded next offseason if he's still around. The Trade Deadline probably wouldnt happen either. Alot of these guys they are probably asking for will be playing. We've already seen how hesitant teams are to trade players that are contributing on the club in the middle of the season. So the previous post was correct. They need to trade him now if they actually want to.
  2. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 23, 2016 -> 12:03 PM) Rick Hahn, in Washington, with the Right Fielder. Glad someone replied
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 05:16 PM) Better include Bell and Newman then That's who I'm assuming is in the deal
  4. QUOTE (Al Lopez's Ghost @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 05:07 PM) Heyman on MLB tonight right now. Says Glasgow plus others would have to go to the Sox, but not Meadows or Keller. So nothing new or dramatic. Fine with me
  5. It'll probably be harder to deal him at the deadline. Right now your asking about guys not currently playing in MLB. But some might be come the trade deadline.
  6. QUOTE (ozzfest @ Dec 21, 2016 -> 06:27 PM) I don't think this is a genuine effort to rebuild. I believe they just got rid of the guys that management didnt get along with. The same thing happened with the Bulls. They didnt like Thibs the day he started and he still got a contract extension
  7. QUOTE (ozzfest @ Dec 21, 2016 -> 06:20 PM) They aren't going to deal Q. The roster isn't going to be dramatically different aside from Robertson gone. That's how Reinsdorf does things. Uh....huh?
  8. Pirate fans are just looking for anything to happen right now and I dont blame them. They are hamstrung by their owners.
  9. Check out this post on the Astros forum "Also, right now there isn't any competition to him" http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?thread....279088/page-19 Gave me a good laugh. Does this guy honestly think rumors being leaked mean no one is interested?
  10. But seriously they should ask for Diaz. One of the better catching prospects.
  11. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 21, 2016 -> 09:49 AM) We recently acquired a Diaz (Victor), then immediately released another Diaz (Carlos). So the team is already at Diaz quota. There can be only one. It's better to burn out than to fade away
  12. They used incarceratedbob as a source. He's wrong all the time. He got Dwight Howard being traded wrong 3 times.
  13. QUOTE (GermanSoxFan @ Dec 16, 2016 -> 04:48 PM) Albies as the headliner for Q would make me livid. IMO his absolute ceiling is Alcides Escobar.. There is not much upside in his bat and we all know the Sox need those kind of bats badly. Seriously that's your ceiling for Albies?
  14. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Dec 14, 2016 -> 12:32 PM) I have season tickets to the Express. Gallo is trash. The shift against him is ridiculous and he strikes out a ton. He's even a timid first baseman when there are close plays at the bag. Oh cool didnt know there was another person who got to see the Express on here. Yeah Gallo was awful.
  15. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 14, 2016 -> 12:04 PM) Up to $8 million for Holland of all people? Ugh. I was hoping it'd be half that. Cashner got 10 million after last season...that's the pitching market
  16. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 01:13 PM) Why is that the problem? They have plenty of prospect depth from which to trade from. I think he's hesitant to pull that trigger again. He really doesnt like trading prospects.
  17. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 12:54 PM) He gave up like 5 good prospects for Ken Giles. And Ken Giles isn't taht good. That's the problem
  18. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 12:02 PM) He gave up a huge package for Giles, he'll eventually give up some prospects for a TOR starter. I think he's just playing hardball hoping the price drops a bit on Quintana or another target. The problem for him is there is no other target. Atleast one not as openly available as Q.
  19. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 11:52 AM) That is a really fair asking price I feel like. The Sox won't trade Quintana for less than that, and Houston can certainly afford to deal Musgove/Martes/Tucker in exchange for four years of prime Q Sidenote: We would have unrivaled prospect pitching depth in the mlb if that deal were to happen I would take Musgrove out if they added others in. But Martes and Tucker have to be in there.
  20. Luhnow is a prospect hoarder. I dont see a trade going down with the Astros.
  21. That package is absolutely fine. Plus your getting someone to replace Q in the starting rotation because Martes might not be ready to go. I bet Musgrove is the hang up in that deal.
  22. So why are people up in arms with the Astros? I read that guys Twitter...it looks like he's just saying Major League players. He was including Martes in his trade proposals.
