  1. "Dress up like Chris Tucker in The Fifth Element and hit the ballpark every day. Then I’ll buy all this nonconformity bulls***."
  2. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 05:41 PM) Defensively, at least. Jackson's also an improvement over Eaton in CF. I'm sure the Sox believe that Avi is going to be more useful as a DH. They also missed an opportunity to bring in Loney to platoon with him, which I thought was strange. They didnt miss it. He has family in San Diego. Choose the Padres.
  3. I mean they essentially already began the process of replacing him even if you throw out all of the rumors of Gordon,Cespedes ect. They signed Jackson. Avi wont be seeing the OF much at all because he sucks defensively. If he cant hit well you think they wont hesitate at the deadline to get a better hitter at DH?
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 05:24 PM) You could argue it, but you'd be wrong. After they clearly did try hard...he would absolutely be wrong.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 05:19 PM) The Sox spent the entire winter trying to replace the guy, but don't think that Jerry Sands or Travis Ishikawa is a better option. I'd hardly call that a ringing endorsement. Plus if he doesnt hit consistently they'll probably replace him at the DH spot
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 05:18 PM) what is Sano upset about? He took a strike right over the plate lol
  7. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 05:17 PM) But they wanted Trayce Thompson instead? Look, the Sox clearly think that Avi is going to be an every-day ML player. Otherwise, he'd be in AAA right now. That's fine but that doesnt mean they are right. Defensively Thompson was light years ahead of Avi.
  8. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 05:08 PM) No, my point was that if the Sox didn't think that Avi was going to be a legit major league RF or DH, they probably would've dealt him by now (say, him in the Frazier deal instead of Trayce). But they didn't, and that seems to indicate that they're confident in him developing into every-day player. Maybe....I know crazy idea...Whoever they were talking with didnt want him
  9. Duke was almost too obvious as far as potential to be a complete bust free agent signing.
  10. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 03:29 PM) Can Duke get someone out? The answer so far as been no
  11. It's good to see him do something positive. But he has a long way to go. It needs to be consistent for him to be a positive WAR player. Not every once in a blue moon.
  12. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 03:22 PM) That strike 2 was just bleh. A hittable pitch on the 3rd though which was good. Best swing all year from him.
  13. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 03:08 PM) No ones jumping off the bridge. Just sucks watching s***ty baseball. You come in here when were upset and have to be a sarcastic asshole. Touché I guess Your welcome. I'll bill you for my time.
  14. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 03:05 PM) What the f*** does that have to do with the NFL? It's a long season. If you want to jump off a bridge in regards to this team just get it over with.
  15. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 03:03 PM) At least they'd have a direction. Feels like they're stuck in the mud now. Right because this is the NFL with a 16 game season. Give me a f***ing break.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 02:59 PM) His stuff just isn't good to start the year Sarcasm....half the people on here would be way happier if this team was in a constant state of rebuilding with no hope. Then they always have someone to pin blame on.
