  1. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 01:10 PM) Everyone is saying this. But the FA market is so weak. I don't see how this offseason can be any more active than last year's. They better be active and more importantly successful. Or I could see more than just Robin getting the boot next year.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 6, 2015 -> 07:02 PM) This is why people hate Cub fans. The Cubs can't just win and be happy. For some stupid reason the entire world has to be happy for them. I wasn't happy when the Twins won. I wasn't happy when the Tigers made the World Series, why on God's green earth would I be happy that the Cubs won? Seriously, f*** the Cubs and their fans. Exactly. It'll be a cold day in hell when I root for the Cubs to win. I got asked the samething today from multiple people. "Well your from Chicago. Arent you going to root for the Cubs?". f*** no was my answer.
  3. I dont think they should sign anyone. Robin's great communication is going to help fix the problems. I'm sure of it.
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 3, 2015 -> 08:41 PM) Would be sweet if he was traded to us for tomorrow's game. Now that would be cool
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 3, 2015 -> 12:24 PM) If you really think RV is the reason the Sox aren't a playoff team, you need to get off the Sox will suck for the foreseeable future and have so many holes train. No but it's been long enough where another voice is needed. He's one of a handful of coaches who have gotten a 5th year with his record. That's really what it comes down to. At some point you have to make a change just by default.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 04:58 PM) They'll have to announce the extension then. I wouldnt be surprised if that happens anyway. Heck losing apparently equals a good job here. Might as well give him more security.
  7. Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin 4m4 minutes ago Chicago, IL Hahn on message to fans: "I guess the message at the end of the day is about nobody here cares more about getting us back to win... Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin 3m3 minutes ago Chicago, IL More Hahn: ".. a championship as quickly as possible as the people making these decisions." https://twitter.com/scottmerkin I'm sold.
  8. I mean what did they think is going to happen with this news? The fans are going to be pleased and renew their season ticket packages? I'm so f***ing irritated because I care about this team alot.
  9. Same old bulls*** answer from Rick Hahn. We're disappointed but nobody is taking responsibility for the failure. I'm not wasting my time flying back to Chicago and ticket money to watch this crap next year.
  10. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 12:49 PM) For sure. They also cost more on the free agent market than the White Sox have ever spent before . That's where you have to spend it. But they wont ofcourse. Probably just a few role players and the "all is well" speech.
  11. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 12:42 PM) I know. I just think it will be way too much money. Well 6.5 WAR guys at 26 dont grow on trees.
  12. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 12:00 PM) I was told Robin hired Parent. Don't know who fired him though. Mark Good stuff Lip.
  13. I seriously dont know any oraganization except for this one in any sport that would have kept it's Head Coach/Manager after majorily underachieving in his 4th year. Especially after that same Front Office/ Manager was talking about playoffs in Training before the season. There's no explanation they can provide that would somehow make this ok. You shouldnt get a 5th year after the record you've piled up in 4 years. The Cincinnatti Bengals is probably the closest thing I can come up with
  14. If your going to keep a lame duck coach you might as well keep his staff. It's just a waist of time doing this crap.
  15. Why get rid of any of the coaching staff if your bringing him back? Just keep them all.
  16. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 05:35 PM) Isn't Robin the guy that was hired to manage through these lean years of rebuilding? Was 2012 a rebuilding year?
  17. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 05:04 PM) You have to fire him. I really hope people just don't bother to show up to games in he is back. Any logical Front Office would fire him. I'm not sure ours will though. Remember this guy talking about playoffs in Spring Training?
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 03:58 PM) Sox finish season: 36-45 on the road 21-12 vs AL West 14-19 vs AL East 9-11 vs NL Central Come home 37-38 at the Cell, and 29-41 in the division. Fire Robin. Hell I say sign him to an extension. Losing baseball is good enough.
  19. Ofcourse he does...but he definitely shouldnt. His time should be up.
  20. I bet Kenny would stay if he was the GM again
  21. It's not any surprise that Robin would be staying. It just really pisses me off. Hell for all the s*** the McCaskey's get atleast they arent dumb enough to keep a guy like Trestman around for another year. It's the same way for the Bulls. You think if Hoiberg bombs and the season goes to hell Gar/Pax are going to be fired? Hell no. Jerry will let them go through as many coaches as possible.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 20, 2015 -> 10:22 AM) 670 The Score ‏@670TheScore 12m12 minutes ago "I think Robin Ventura stays put no matter what happens." @BNightengale to @SpiegelAndGoff on #WhiteSox future f*** it Zero accountability
  23. Robin doesn't need to explain anything. Nobody gives a s*** above him.
  24. I'm sure Adam LaSuck will be in the lineup tomorrow
