  1. Found some interesting news....supposedly Mike Olt's medicals are the reason the Garza trade has disintegrated. So anyone who wanted him from Texas remove him from their lists. I realize it was the gamethread but thought you guys might find this interesting.

  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 07:26 PM) Gattis learns not to test Viciedo's arm. Brave's announcers couldnt believe he got tagged out without tripping or something. They reviewed that play about 8 times.
  4. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 16, 2013 -> 01:05 PM) .890 OPS in AAA after getting the eye surgery. 28 HR, 82 RBI, .288 BA, .398 OBP, .977 OPS over 95 games in AA last year. He's far from a washout or valueless player. He'd be our number 1 prospect, easily, and could be playing in the MLB as soon as this year on our team. 1 he didnt have eye surgery. He actually got eye drops. The injury is speculated to be effects from a concussion back in December. I've seen him both before and after the injury. Color me not impressed.
  5. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 15, 2013 -> 08:10 PM) I wouldn't say that. It's just not nearly the value the media is presenting. That could change though. I wouldnt expect it to be and I dont think its as dire as greg says...but thats normal when he's talking about Rios. If the truth is somewhere in the middle then I'm not trading him. He can stay put.
  6. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 15, 2013 -> 06:22 PM) And both times it is you against pretty much everyone. Strange how that works. How many titles has Ozzie won in Miami? How many parades has he ridden in? Damn those facts
  7. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 15, 2013 -> 01:47 PM) I think teams will wait 2 outings before they would make a trade for Peavy. #1) See how he looks #2) See how he recovers Personally, I don't think Peavy is going to be traded. I'd be content being wrong, but I don't think it's going to happen. I wouldnt be surprised if he wasnt traded.
  8. Ill go with Peavy shortly after his next outing
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 14, 2013 -> 06:44 PM) One outing, one loss for Thornton Did they use him against a RHH?
  10. Uh oh....someone forgot to tell the players not to score here because that makes flavum mad
  11. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 13, 2013 -> 06:20 PM) Good news is most of these bums won't be here in 2015. Ok and ?
  12. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 13, 2013 -> 06:15 PM) I want the Sox to lose 98 games, and I want this to be one of them. Not happy. Good news is the players dont give a **** what you want
  13. yeah Nate scream into your glove because you couldnt get me out if I was at the plate.
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 06:08 PM) Haha, yep. I got banned from that site for asking to be banned for lifetime. They had criticized something my best friend had written and I thought they were overreacting. Part of me felt guilty that I had invited him to the site myself and thought he would enjoy it, but he ended up getting "jumped" right away by a posse of about 3-5 for an unpopular opinion about something so seemingly unimportant. I think I was given a one or two week temporary suspension, but I sent a PM to one of the mods and said I no longer wanted to contribute in any way, shape or form and they should stick to patting each other on the back for their "united front" against anyone who dared to go against the status quo or popular group think-based opinion. And that was that. I checked about a month later and sure enough had the lifetime exile/ban. I got a lifetime ban for posting a twitter link about 10 seconds after I posted a trade that had been made. Once their mods form a bad opinion of you then your toast.
  15. They should all be banned for excessive talking
  16. Well thanks Axelrod for holding down the fort. Please go to AAA and never come back again.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 06:50 PM) Not a doubt in my mind he'll trade Peavy if he's healthy enough to start a few times before July. Thats also if the package is right. Same goes for Rios.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 06:44 PM) I do believe he'll blow it up and would gladly trade everyone but Sale. Where's this confidence coming that he's not going to trade Peavy, etc? You think he is going to trade Peavy,Danks,Santiago ect ect? Peavy sure there is about a 50/50 chance it happens. I'm going with no on that one. Sounds like he is going with the option that is the most reasonable. Trade some guys in the bullpen...maybe Rios or Peavy. Rebuild the offense in the offseason.
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 06:40 PM) Hahn also said a week ago that this team has a run in them and could get back into the race. Don't believe this man I absolutely believe him when he talks about keeping pitching and working on the offense this offseason. Did anyone actually believe he was going to completely blow it up?
