  1. If thats the return for Garza I cant wait to see what we can get for Peavy.
  2. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 09:31 PM) Yea. I'm going with the benching. incarceratedbob is tweeting that he's been traded so it must be that he was benched
  3. Dan Hayes is pretty persistent in saying that its not the Pirates
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 09:26 PM) No way it's true, as we all know Rios doesn't like anyone and would never hug them! Yeah your right...he didnt tell the players f*** you guys before he left
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 09:24 PM) It's funny how everyone is saying that Rios hugged his teammates except for anyone in the Chicago media. All of them dont seem to know what the hell is going on
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 09:20 PM) So if Hanson is the main guy in the trade, how would you feel about it? He was #39 on BA's top 50 midseason list Sounds good to me. Btw its going to suck to see Rios go. One of my favorite players on this team.
  7. s*** I was at work during the Thornton trade(night shift) and I'm about to leave again
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 09:16 PM) I really think people are just seeing others say on twitter that he was hugging teammates and reporting it as fact. That last tweet was as legit as I found.
  9. Alright it sounds like Rios did indeed hug his teamates
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 09:15 PM) Any idea what the specifics are? Concussion related vision problems
  11. Bob Pompeani ‏@KDPomp 2m See previous tweet. Alex Rios hugging teammates. Leaves game. Details https://twitter.com/KDPomp
  12. Dan Hayes ‏@DanHayesCSN 2m If Alex Rios is headed somewhere, doesn't sound like Pittsburgh is the spot. Source said "I don't see it happening." #WhiteSox #Pirates https://twitter.com/DanHayesCSN
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 09:08 PM) Rios deserved it. Of course he deserved it weeks ago. Its a little late for Robin to try and tough up at this point.
  14. It was probably just Robin being a pile of crap manager.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 08:58 PM) Puig got pulled, maybe we made caulfield's year and traded for him? Konerko and Rios for Puig sounds good to me. Where do I sign for that?
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 08:51 PM) Yep, kind of a strange time for Ventura to finally discipline someone. Robin just needs to go away.
  17. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 08:51 PM) I know about the medicals being the reason. Was looking for the specifics on Olt. I'm not huge on him, so it doesn't bother me much but Bowden and others seemed to imply it was Neil Ramirez's shoulder that was the issue. Neil Ramirez got torched today which didnt help either. The thing with Olt is nobody knows how he got vision issues. Some feared it may have been from the concussion he suffered a few months back. But he didnt have any of those problems going on before the concussion. Anyway a deal between the Cubs and Rangers doesnt sound very promising at the moment. I'm getting tired of hearing about Garza....hopefully a deal comes soon
  18. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 08:39 PM) Link? For the deal falling through because of medicals http://www.chicagonow.com/cubs-den/2013/07...change-of-meds/ The Olt rumor there isnt a report for that just a few people doing some research.
  19. Rumor has it medicals have led to the Cubs-Rangers trade disintegrating. The player that is having medical problems? Mike Olt. You guys remember me talking about a week ago about the concern for his medicals. Others in the scouting community are expressing the same concern. Believe me or not but I did my HW on this.
  20. Found some interesting news....supposedly Mike Olt's medicals are the reason the Garza trade has disintegrated. So anyone who wanted him from Texas remove him from their lists. I realize it was the gamethread but thought you guys might find this interesting.

  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 07:26 PM) Gattis learns not to test Viciedo's arm. Brave's announcers couldnt believe he got tagged out without tripping or something. They reviewed that play about 8 times.
  23. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 16, 2013 -> 01:05 PM) .890 OPS in AAA after getting the eye surgery. 28 HR, 82 RBI, .288 BA, .398 OBP, .977 OPS over 95 games in AA last year. He's far from a washout or valueless player. He'd be our number 1 prospect, easily, and could be playing in the MLB as soon as this year on our team. 1 he didnt have eye surgery. He actually got eye drops. The injury is speculated to be effects from a concussion back in December. I've seen him both before and after the injury. Color me not impressed.
  24. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 15, 2013 -> 08:10 PM) I wouldn't say that. It's just not nearly the value the media is presenting. That could change though. I wouldnt expect it to be and I dont think its as dire as greg says...but thats normal when he's talking about Rios. If the truth is somewhere in the middle then I'm not trading him. He can stay put.
