  1. QUOTE (Real @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 10:01 PM) 9-3-2012, the start of the downward spiral I just I should go ahead and jump off a cliff now right?
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:56 PM) Tying man to the plate. Better than nothing, eh? DAN JOHNSON Lets do it Dan!
  3. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:49 PM) Never watched Breaking Bad much but can't wait for the new season of Dexter. My friends keep telling me to watch Dexter. I think I saw a few seasons on Netflix.
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:48 PM) Yeah, I bet.
  5. QUOTE (Caesar @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:46 PM) And i can go back and find a bunch of s*** I was right about. Especially predicting the games before they even started based on the line. Both Sox and tigers games. I would love you to do that. Please enlighten me.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:44 PM) I just remembered, Breaking Bad is on right now. This night just got so much better, f*** baseball. Thank you for reminding me. One more season to go.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:44 PM) If he finishes this game, how far away is he from the goal? Thats a really good question. Id like the answer to that as well.
  8. QUOTE (Caesar @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:39 PM) Wasnt wrong earlier today. I can go back and find a truck load of things you said that were just downright wrong.
  9. QUOTE (Caesar @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:37 PM) Time will tell. But I am 100% confident I will be back here tomorrow night. Good news is your wrong alot
  10. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:36 PM) Jesus christ. I'm tired of watching us look like clowns. BEGONE! Begone from my television thou foul images! I switched to a mexican game show.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:33 PM) Detroit could lose and you'll be bye bye. We couldnt be so lucky
  12. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:32 PM) There is legitimate cause for concern here, but this series/game/inning is not going to be my impetus to hang it up. I've seen too much to the contrary...I'm going to let us get into a hole and play poorly somewhere other than Comerica Park before I lose my mind. Our team is relevant again and I like knowing that the expectation for next season will remain making the playoffs instead of just developing prospects or something like that. Well said.
  13. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:26 PM) I think the team is pressing Jake I never thought I would be joining your side with the optimists. But here I am.
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:25 PM) What's the board gonna be like tomorrow night when a tired DET team loses at noon to CLE and the Sox beat MIN at home? "The season is over but we have a one game lead!!!" It isnt really a surprise that Caesar had a meltdown.
  15. QUOTE (Caesar @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:21 PM) If you consider choking away a division and playoff appearance fun, then yep, it's gonna be a f***ing blast. Put a new tampon in and have a cigarette. Youll feel better after that.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:17 PM) Who's giving up on the season? It's possible Detroit will revert back to s*** and we'll continue playing the percentage baseball we've played all year. I hope you are kidding; please be kidding. You think if one of our hitters got plunked he'd be on some roll against the team that plunked him? Blaming our former manager I assume u are kidding. Look at the last few pages Greg.
  17. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:14 PM) They will be the first ones to cheer when the Sox clinch the division and the most foolish when I bring that back up
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:13 PM) There's nobody left to trade. They would be pretty foolish to keep Floyd around for $9.5 million next year. Thornton and Crain will get you what exactly? The only asset we have to trade is probably Alexei Ramirez...and that's a dubious move at best unless it nets us Jurickson Profar in return, which will never happen. I suppose they could deal Rios or Dunn, but how would they sell any season tickets for next year...trading Dunn or Rios, letting Floyd go, trading Thornton/Crain, letting YOUK, AJ and Peavy all walk. Good luck on that one, Brooks. Which is why it will never happen. I was talking about before the season actually caulfield. Sorry I forgot to mention that in my previous post :/
  19. *Writes down all the names of people conceding the season with 29 games left*
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:09 PM) I couldn't agree more with the fact people shouldn't give up on the season after tonight. Still tied with a lot of home games left. The Sox really couldn't have played worse this week. I said a few days ago, but Ventura's legacy for this season will be reflected by how the team performs the 10 days. They played bad but they have those games to make up for it. If this were it I would be pissed. Fortunately plenty of baseball left.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:06 PM) Well, they sure as hell didn't show up this week on the road. Basically everyone has sucked on the roster this week outside of Axelrod and Veal. Yet there is still no point in calling for some of the crap some people on here will. There is still 29 games to go. I still laugh at some people on here( I know who you are) that were calling for a 5-10 year rebuild.
  22. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:03 PM) seasons not over.... Oh just wait until this game is over. People will be calling for a complete overhaul.
