  1. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 08:13 PM) I wouldn't go back there if I was paid to do it I got mixed stories from people. But my dad said I needed to go while I was up there atleast one time.
  2. Yep its official...going to my first game at Wrigley next month
  3. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 08:06 PM) I'll take it. Alex should just plant one in the bullpen now. I thought he had that one
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:36 PM) Yes it would, the only untouchable on the roster would be Sale. Dodgers would have to be very interested in Konerko and Peavy, as they have the money to spend. I really hope it doesnt get that bad.
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:32 PM) I think some of them may have been...but I don't know how different things would have been regardless. Hell we wont know until he gets back....or if he ever gets back
  6. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:27 PM) I'd say let's see what else they do to address it first. This is exactly one of the of the downsides when you are trying to develop players from within...you have to show patience with a guy, then he goes down or self-destructs, and you don't have Wade Boggs sitting around in AAA waiting to be plugged-in. I blame this on Morel for being a big bag of suck. I still think Kevin Youkillis may be a decent option right now. Wouldnt cost much. Everyone knows on here how much I hated Morel. But those struggles Im sure were due to his back issues.
  7. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:24 PM) Yeah, but at least he didn't call him out by name. Yeah that would have been really bad
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:23 PM) In all fairness to Hudson, he's playing out of position. His pop up with the bases loaded an one out was at least close to as bad as his throw, and you can throw blame at him for that. All the mess ups at 3B, that's on KW and the White Sox. The guy isn't a thirdbaseman. I agree with that.
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:22 PM) Ahh, well that's not so bad. Its pretty clear who he was talking about. Basically pointing out who lost the game.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:19 PM) What did he say? Daryl Van Schouwen ‏@CST_soxvan Peavy: frustrating. Not playing good fundamental baseball. Lose another series. https://twitter.com/CST_soxvan
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:14 PM) That's true. When it bothers me too much, I just remember what my wife once told me when I was a little too consumed by the game... Its just a bunch of uneducated men in silly costumes, running around in dirt, trying to hit a ball with a stick. Smart lady
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:13 PM) Well consider yourself lucky. That is a constant struggle for me. You should see my Father and Grandfather if the Bears lose. Not a pretty sight.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:12 PM) I think Jake brings the focus on him simply due to his support for soxtalk's two least favorite players in Hudson and Stewart. Jake's a good poster though who's brought a ton to the game threads this year, and I hope he doesn't take any of this personally. Well said
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:10 PM) I honestly think you just lash out at him because he remains positive when you are angry. Im not mad at all actually. Its a game in the end. Not anything thats going to affect my life more than I want it to.
  15. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:08 PM) Well then you are more than welcome to criticize our coaching staff if they are making excuses...but I don't see what that has to do with Jake. I just explained what it had to do with Jake. You know very well of the posts Im talking about.
