This ump is making me mad. I think he may need glasses because he is way to inconsistent.

Good news is I get to watch Viciedo today in the Minors All Star game. Bad news is the White Sox offense continues to make me puke.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 9, 2011 -> 11:17 AM) FWIW, Peter Gammons was on a Boston radio show this morning and said he expects Ozzie to be fired during the ASB. He said he may be managing the Marlins in a week and also mentioned KW knows his ass is on the line as well. do you have a link? Whats the radio show called?

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 9, 2011 -> 10:58 AM) Rios was questionable at best. If he really was so great, he wouldn't have been let go for nothing. I loved the Peavy trade personally and it still may work out OK. Its not like Clayton Richard is going to the HOF. As for Dunn, no one could possibly see a drop of this magnitude. There were some warning signs there, but still........anyway, had KW overruled OG and said you know what, Mark Kotsay DHing isn't really a good idea, and re signed Jim Thome for peanuts, a couple of things may have happened. Maybe the Sox win with Thome and Twins without him. If he had the year he had, maybe he brings him back for 600 and doesn't go after Dunn. The bottom line is KW gets paid a ton of money to make the decisions, fans don't get squat. KW has a bloated payroll and a team that just doesn't click. Ultimately fans will love the trades and signings that work out and will not like the ones that do not, even if they thought at the time it was the right thing to do. That's life. I think its time KW and OG move on. This entire circus needs to be closed. I never had a problem with the Peavy trade and still dont.

QUOTE (FlySox87 @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 08:28 PM) If Gavin never pitches for us again, I'll be very happy. Everyone is quick to trade Edwin Jackson but I rather keep him and try and trade Gavin.

Yeah Gavin.....

Well this looks familiar

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 08:03 PM) Gavin seems stiff in his motion. He doesn't have much on his pitches When has he had anything on his pitches? Seems like forever

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 07:49 PM) Good for Gavin to not give up anything there. Plus it looks like his curve is coming to him. Now it is time to add on. Yeah lately Gavin has been hanging his curve balls

Yeah Cora is the least of our worries. I dont think any changes will be made even if we tank this series.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 02:10 PM) The 40 man roster stood at 38 men with him and he was not out of options, they didn't have to send him through waivers but they chose to anyway. Now the 40 stands at 37 so why were they trying to clear a spot on the 40 by outrighting him to AAA? It's probably because he's not any good but if that's the case then they must have really not thought much of him. I dont think there is more to it than that
-
QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 01:59 PM) Wonder what the true story is.... Clearing roster space at Charlotte? Clearing space on the 40 man? Maybe Harrell said something to his Mgr that got him in trouble? He was picked up off of waivers before he got to AAA. So there really is no story beyond that.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 01:46 PM) seems like that's 3 serviceable relievers we've lost this season. But I'm sure some will say I'm over-estimating their worth. Yeah but that hasnt really come up and bit us yet

I was just listening to the Score. Obviously everyone is frustrated with Dunn but Rios is a different story...If he didnt have that huge contract he would be outta here. He had a good year last year but there was always a reason that Blue Jay fans were cheering when they heard we picked him up off waivers. Obviously he dogs it on some plays and Ozzie realizes that. He did the same thing in Toronto. But then there was that one youtube video of him screaming back at fans after he struck out what was it 5 times?(correct me if Im wrong on that). Seems like those red flags are popping up back here again. He can be a good ball player but at this point Im not sure if he will pull it together.
