  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 6, 2013 -> 10:04 PM) I'd take him over Nestor Molina Yea in hindsight now, because there was nothing better. I wouldnt have at the time. Not with Rios roaming RF.
  2. Caulfield I think you are overrating Reddick a bit. The guy has a BELOW .300 OBP for his career. Hit 32 HRs last year, but only had 85 RBIs & a .242 average. 2 HRs this season in about 115 ABs. His defense is the only thing good about him IMO. Overrated at the plate.
  3. Ehhhh my man Ervin gone. Solid pick by the Reds. Really shocked Ian Clarkin is still left....wont be there long. He is gonna be a good one IMO.
  4. Cespedes is just a beast. One of the strongest dudes in baseball & he just MUSCLED that 2nd homer out. He does everything better than Tank as of now....except maybe throw, but that is a toss up. He does have 3 years on Tank though.
  5. Here’s their quick blurb on the Anderson: We keep hearing the Tigers are one of the teams on [Eric] Jagielo, and he’d be a fine selection at 20. That said, I know you can’t pick for need, but when you have Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera, plus Nick Castellanos in the minors, I don’t think it makes sense to draft a college third baseman here. So I’m taking East Central (Miss.) CC shortstop Tim Anderson, believing the Tigers will develop an up-the-middle athlete who fits talent-wise and in terms of value at the 20th pick Tigers were looking at Anderson
  6. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 6, 2013 -> 09:02 PM) Projects mostly at 2B. Could be a tough sign too. Gotcha, thanks.
  7. Dang didn't realize Craig Biggios son was in this draft. That guy has to be a good one right? Haha. What position is he projected at?....Seen 3rd, SS, & 2nd.
  8. Scouting Grades* (present/future): Hit: 3/5 | Power: 3/4 | Run: 6/6 | Arm: 5/5 | Field: 4/5 | Overall: 3/5 Teams who like premium athletes currently playing premium positions will certainly give Anderson a long look and his stock was rising quickly as the Draft approached. His best tool is his speed and he has plenty of it as a guy who should be a basestealing threat in the future. He makes solid contact, putting the ball in play and letting his legs work for him, even showing some power to the pull side on occasion. He has shown some difficulty hitting the breaking ball. Whether he can stay at shortstop remains to be seen, though he has decent range and a serviceable arm. But teams won't hesitate to draft him and then move him, a la Billy Hamilton, down the road.
  9. Phillip Erwin Ian Clarkin or Hunter Harvey
  10. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jun 6, 2013 -> 08:46 PM) Tim Anderson would be a really bold pick. Great athlete. Two-sport SS with big time athleticism. One of Harold Reynolds favorites....
  11. Stanek Shipley Clarkin Harvey or Erwin Crawford
  12. Man oh man Harold Reynolds is picking up one EASY pay check tonight.
  13. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 6, 2013 -> 08:03 PM) Barnum still hasn't even seen A-ball. He's not the caliber prospect that Smith is either. Also Smith could possible be thrown into a corner OF spot. If they think he;s the BPA, they should take him. Gotcha. Was just curious. I was high on the Barnum pick last season, but stupid injuries. My fav player is Phillip Ervin
  14. Isn't Keon Barnum a projected 1st baseman for us? Already giving up on him for Dom?
  15. Dang guys had him ranked in the 40s & he goes 8?
  16. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 6, 2013 -> 07:53 PM) Austin Meadows is going to make some team very happy. Would be awesome to see him & Frazier in the same division.
  17. I really like Ian Clarkin, JP Crawford, Sean Manaea, Phillip Ervin, & Chris Anderson around our pick.
  18. Listening to Coach & Company show earlier & Victor Conte was saying he believes 50% of players in baseball today are still cheating. Says it's way to easy to get around. Says players take these lifesaver type things or creams after ballgames & it raises their testosterone level which brings nitrogen to the tissue & accelerates healing & recovery & by the time they show back up the next day their levels are back down. He said they need a CIR test which can detect these kind of things up to 2 weeks after & they would be busting guys left & right.
