  1. BABE DE AZA really supplying the power.... PLEASE sit him until he realizes he is not a power hitter....WTF?
  2. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 06:06 PM) Say he is gone 6 weeks people are going to want to see more than 1 or 2 starts from Peavy not good. Ehh not necessarily...I'm sure in that span he will have a couple rehab starts under his belt to go with the couple big league starts.
  3. QUOTE (mike89128 @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 06:02 PM) Whatever happened to pitch recognition?Seems the hitters are being taught to anticipate a certain pitch depending on the count. And of course they're continually guessing wrong. Making the Greg Walker days look a whole lot better.
  4. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 05:54 PM) OK then Axelrod is a very very very poor mans Jessie Crain, that better? My point was not about how good Jessie Crain is, it had to do withe fact that if Axelrod is jerked around you lose nothing long term while Santiago had plenty of potential when he came up that is being jerked around because the White Sox do not knwo how to use him. Yea I gotcha. Just I really think you may be overlooking Dylan. He has been arguably our 2nd best starter. What he did to the As really opened my eyes. Go look at how the As have been hitting, & in that midst what he did to them. Very tough to do because that team has been on a TEAR.
  5. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 05:52 PM) Rick Hahn has to be in a dark place right now.
  6. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 05:51 PM) Peavy out 4 to 6 weeks rib fracture there goes his trade value out the window OUCH.
  7. QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 05:50 PM) With the year Crain is having, we should be able to get someone decent for him. I'm thinking the same thing. He is gonna be very valuable to a contender come the trade deadline if he stays healthy.
  8. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 05:48 PM) A right handed pitcher that relies on control to get batters out. He is not as good as Crain hence the term poor man's. They do not have overwhelming stuff but seem to be very good at what they are doing. Crain has very overwhelming STUFF....One of the better hooks out the pen in the game & an above average fastball.
  9. Not gonna lie....Lexi/Beck up the middle is oh so niceeeeee
  10. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 05:44 PM) 1-2-3 3 hits total. So sad......This team should be so much better than they are.
  11. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 05:41 PM) In reality shouldn't Axelrod and Santiago be switching roles? Axelrod is a nice piece that should be able to be a poor man's Jessie Crain, can throw an inning or two every day and if it does not work out, so be it. Santiago came up with potential and then was jerked around so often he has lost most of the luster he used to have. Is he a closer, spot starter, starter, loogy, one inning guy, who knows, not the White Sox. This is kind of what I see happening to Gillespie now with Keppinger and Beckham are playing. The flaws of this organization are really starting to show. A poor mans Crain?.....WHAT? Crain is one of the better relievers in the game at the setup position.
  12. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 05:39 PM) What does that even mean? He doesn't start throwing BP pitches and losing on purpose? He's walked 5 guys and gotten 4 double plays. He's been lucky. Most of the time, those are going to be hits and runs. He isn't good, he's been passable because he's been lucky. Why do we give him credit for trying? Of course he's trying. He's battling to be a rich Major Leaguer. A 3.73 ERA in 12 starts in the AL is far more than luck. He was wild today, but for the most parts he has been hitting his spots & changing speeds with the best of them.
  13. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 05:38 PM) Why? Have left PLENTY of RISP
  14. Nice to see Dylan enjoying the game a bit there hahahha We know his season should be A LOT better than what it is.
  15. Just give Super Joe the manager job or give Sandy A a shot Robin just doesn't seem to be completely into it....& that's fine. Not like he was a whoooo rahhhhh guy coming into the job. Just need to move on, whether that is in the near future or at the end of the season.
  16. That goal Crawford gave up was pretty brutal. Quick is on his game as usual, lets hope that miscue don't hurt us.
  17. Beckham makes that play look ROUTINE. LET'S GO BLACKHAWKS
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 30, 2013 -> 07:59 PM) A young lefty 3b is the one thing the Sox do have. I don't see a point in going after Francisco. Piling up assets is NEVER a bad thing. Like Jake said though....doubt he makes it to us.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ May 30, 2013 -> 07:30 PM) Before acquiring Gillaspie, I would have said absolutely. Yea good point. Gillaspie has been pretty money & a great find so far, but adding another lefty to the bench & cutting either Greene or Wells loose is something that def couldn't hurt.
  20. David O'Brien @ajcbraves 3B Juan Francisco designated for assignment by #Braves to open roster spot for Alex Wood. Bring him in & drop Greene or Wells.
  21. Embarrassing hahaha we just made the Cubs season. JOKE
