  1. A 6 man rotation is perfect for everyone. Sale & Peavy need the extra rest & with Floyd & Humber just coming off the DL I'm sure they could use the extra day as well.
  2. We could have 3 very capable lefties in the rotation heading into the playoffs (if we make it) that could be big against a team like the Yankees.
  3. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Jul 29, 2012 -> 12:17 AM) indians? please, their rotation blows. but everyone is biased. had either of those teams landed liriano, theyd be ecstatic. Yup no doubt. We will find out soon enough just how good Liriano can be. He should match up well against the Tribe down the stretch.
  4. Looking at the Tigers boards & Indians boards they seem to be brushing this trade off & saying it wasnt an upgrade at all. They must not know about the magic Don Cooper has worked in the past. Not to mention in his last 60 innings hasn't Liriano struck out about 70? His stuff is still there.
  5. Liriano was traded for AJ when the Twins acquired him. Now they shall be battery mates
  6. If the DBacks are selling let's go after Bloomquist & Putz!!!!!
  7. Man a guy like WILLIE BLOOMQUIST would round out this Sox roster PERFECTLY.....& possibly one more reliever.
  8. Liriano is only 28 & if Coop can straighten him out we could see him in a Sox uni for awhile.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 11:34 PM) All I can say is hell yes. HELL f***ING YES I love this season Keeps getting better & better.
  10. WOW!...Step away for a bit after the game & come back to this news? Love it. Can't wait to see what Coop can do with Liriano. Good luck to Escobar, he was fun to watch run when finding a gap. Fits in perfectly with the Twins. KW is on a roll right now.
  11. Undefeated since the creation of ITS ALL GOOD! ITS ALL GOOD! although I do miss MERCY at the end of Hawks homerun calls.
  12. I thought we forfeited before this game started because we had no chance? :lolhitting DOH!
  13. Haha I think you guys got a little spoiled from Matty in the past. You guys make it seem like his ERA is in the 6's or something. The guy still has a sub 4 ERA & will be an important piece for us down the stretch.
  14. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 09:52 PM) Farmer spoke to Miami scout tonight, said they're looking to maybe deal JJ Haven't we known this for awhile though?
  15. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 09:47 PM) I've always wanted to see him compete in it, even before he was with the Sox. Same here. No doubt he could def put on a show, & hit some absolute bombs.
  16. Humber 6 strong so far. What a lift it would be to the club if he can be consistent down the stretch.
  17. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 09:41 PM) Not sure, but guessing no. It would've been awesome to see him compete in it. You would think he would fair well in it considering if he gets the ball in the air it usually carries out haha. Only question you would have about him would be stamina but if Prince can do it Dunn should have no problem. Crazy that he has never participated in it.
  18. Has Dunn ever been in the HR Derby? I can't seem to remember. & did Cano even ask him to be in it this year?
  19. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 09:09 PM) You mention Span over Ben Revere? Forgot about him. Their 1-5 is about as dangerous as it comes. Good work Humber.
  20. Mauer Willingham Morneau is a very scary 3-4-5 when they are all healthy. Plus Span leading off. Just because we swept them this week doesn't mean it will be a cake walk next week.
  21. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 08:59 PM) Minny smokin Indians 9-1 now Double digits yesterday & well on their way there today. Let them get those games out of their system now.
