Saladino just needs to calm down in his ABs. Short and sweet, that's all he needs. -
Adam Rosales hit an absolute bomb yesterday. http://m.mlb.com/video/v603436683/pitsd-ro...?game_pk=447069

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 09:09 AM) Every time Sale faces the Angels, I think about that horrible game where Trout hit a grand slam off of him That was the one time Sale got owned, otherwise he's shut down the wonderboy. -
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 07:04 AM) I don't think people are worried about the actual trans people. People are worried about the straight guys who will claim to be trans in order to go into a women's shower room. People are also worried about their daughters being forced to see naked men, trans or straight. Yes, because women can't be perverts obviously.

QUOTE (Dunt @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 11:22 PM) Truly fun game to watch tonight. Nice W boys! Anyone else think the Sox would be better served to move Rollins to DH for the time being and have Saladino take over at SS? I could get behind this.

Tonight's loss probably sunk Bernie Sander's presidential aspirations. He gave it a ride, but it was short of the warning track.

Why are there two early games this week?

Yeah, you gotta send Avi down. Get him some ABs in AAA. I agree 100% with this. -

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 01:35 PM) Agreed on the point in general about there not being enough discussion with young men, but this specific question came from a woman. He can't tell this woman anything that is going to help her force men to behave differently. What this woman can control is where she goes and when she goes there. What if the woman's question had been: "If I avoid parties where there is lots of alcohol, would my chances of being sexually assaulted be reduced?" Maybe, maybe not. I'd be curious to see the statistics about rape involving alcohol versus not involving alcohol.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 09:30 AM) Despite what either side of the issue might lead you to believe, it is not an open and shut case. For pretty much ever, the standard was that if you have a penis, you use men's restrooms and locker rooms, and if you have a vagina, you use women's restrooms and locker rooms. This has always been a problem for transgendered people, some of whom dress in the style of the gender they identify with instead of the gender they actually are. M->F people often were ridiculed/bullied/attacked if they entered a men's room dressed as a woman. F->M people dressed as men are often mistakenly identified as sexual predators there to attack women. For transgendered people, the solution seemed simple: let them use restrooms and locker rooms of the gender they identify with instead of the gender they actually are. Seems simple but has two major complications: 1) There is nobody at the door of restrooms and locker rooms verifying that people with penises who are trying to use women's facilities are actually transgendered. There have already been cases of straight men taking advantage of this rule to expose themselves to and/or get a look at women. 2) Even if only transgendered people were to use the other restroom/locker room, there are still plenty of women who just don't want to see a penis while they are in a locker room, and certainly plenty of parents who don't want their teenage daughters exposed to that. While some of the people who favored bills like the one in North Carolina are bigoted, bigotry is clearly not the only reason one might have for supporting this bill. I would propose a compromise that ought to be good enough (but not necessarily ideal) for everybody: A) Any newly constructed buildings must have restrooms/locker rooms for men and women, as well as open/family facilities that can be used by anyone. B) Any existing buildings that have at or above a certain number of restrooms/locker rooms must convert some to open/family facilities. C) Any existing buildings with limited numbers of restrooms/locker rooms that are unable to convert some to open/family facilities must post notices at the entries that they do not have open/family facilities. Restrooms are clearly a much easier fix than places with locker rooms and showers. Also, PayPal and Bryan Adams (and probably most other musicians) = total hypocrites. Both do plenty of business in Muslim countries where transgendered people aren't accommodated and even worse it's actually illegal to be gay. But they needed to take a stand against North Carolina. I get what you mean with the bolded, but the reality is this, the reason they probably took a stand against NC is because it resides in the USA! You know the country that's allegedly the greatest country on earth. That being said, in these muslim countries, some are theocracies and you aren't going to change anyone's thought process there. When in Rome... The USA prides itself on freedom and all that kool-aid type s*** they attempt to feed the masses, yet they have a desire to limit the rights of people they deem "not kosher". If you ask me, NC are the hypocrites for trampling on the rights of human beings. f*** THEM!

Politicians can't do much to help someone feel safe from sexual assault. Law enforcement is a reactionary service, so there is no help there either. I think people do need to use wise judgement when they enter a compromised position. The world is full of evil people where people can't let their guard down. It is what it is.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 02:48 PM) Q cost himself the game Yeah but CB didn't do him any favors either. s*** happens, still a QS.
-
That wasn't a strike.
-
Moore made a mistake and Avi punished it. YES YES f*** YES!
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 01:47 PM) Matt Moore isn't exactly a bad pitcher. Today his stuff is extremely hittable. He's not terrible but he's not someone the Sox should be having a hard time with in theory.
-
QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 01:43 PM) Someone said it best yesterday, Sox are tremendous at getting themselves out without a pitcher even having to throw strikes. You'd honestly wonder at times if they'd be better not lifting the bat off their shoulders AJax had the best AB with that RBI single. He was like f*** this clown, I'm going to right. It just seems like the SOX hitters are clueless at the plate and just hacking. That's just not doable for a MLB game!
-
They should be scoring runs off Moore. The Sox are getting themselves out chasing his s*** pitches.
-
Smooth inning Q.
-
Baseball is about ebb and flow. Sox started hot, they'll cool off, and get hot again. Wash, Rinse, Repeat. It's early in the season and Frazier is making an adjustment to different pitchers who are leaps and bounds way better than the s*** he saw in the NL.
-
Lol did Jose trip him there?
-
Jose is scuffling. I don't feel like he's going to get a hit when he comes up to bat. Trying to do to much? Too much thinking? What gives?
