safe; it's a tie.

Quintana can't catch a break. I think CB was sleeping on that call.

QUOTE (Scoots @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 12:34 PM) Just an idea...what about hitting Melk 3rd and Lawrie 4th, Abreu 5th and Frazier 6th. Putting those warmer hitters up in the lineup a bit. The problem is, they could be hitting well because of where they are in the lineup.

Overmatched by LHP. Moore isn't that good.

QUOTE (gosoxgo2005 @ Apr 15, 2016 -> 01:04 PM) I've been to both home games already. I live in Chicago now, so this summer I plan on going to a game a homestand. It's a 6 dollar trip to and from on the El for me, DIRT cheap tickets, and I'll get a couple of brats. Can do the whole night for like $30 bucks if you don't drink, which I don't on weeknight games. On weekend games I'll spend $100 bucks on alcohol no problem Alcohol really drives up the price of a ballpark visit. That's why I just bring my own. -

Odorizzi is 0-1 with a +8 ERA against the Sox in his career. Shell him, break him, destroy him. -
I want the cubs to go all the way, and lose... To the White Sox. It would be total chaos!

QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Apr 15, 2016 -> 09:35 AM) Why should an independent have declare their allegiance with any party just to be able to vote? I read that roughly 27% of the voters in New York are not affiliated with either party. That is a huge percentage of people whose opinion means squat. I think closed primaries are nothing but voter suppression that hurts any non establishment candidate like Sanders. I understand the point that the parties don't want outsiders voting for someone because they think that person will be easier to beat in the general election. I get that. But honestly the percentage of people that do that barely makes a dent. I really think semi-closed primaries are the way to go. That eliminates Democrats from choosing the Republican nominee and vice versa but it allows unaffiliated voters to vote. Allowing same day voter registration updates is a way to help prevent the voter suppression in closed primaries. New York's voting registration laws are just ridiculous. To have to decide who you are going to vote for 6 months in advance is just plain silly. Thank you. You definitely articulated that in a better way for sure. Alpha maybe you have a point in same day registration places but let's say 2 weeks before a primary would be the deadline.

Didn't see the debate tonight, who do you peeps think won?

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 05:21 PM) Personally, I'm looking to package Jimmy and get his ass out of Chicago as quickly as possible. I know it's not the popular route and I know it's not going to be the one The Bulls go down but that's where I'd go. Well that's one way to put Chicago as a lottery team for years to come and probably allow us to never sign a quality FA, not that it has happened in a long time.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 05:33 PM) Considering that probably 80% of the country already knows which party they vote for well before that, registering in advance shouldn't be that much of a inconvenience. 6 months may be a lot, but surely there can be some sort of time frame. Same day is bulls***. Are people that f***ing clueless with all the ads, talking, etc going on that you can't register beforehand? And you can register just about everywhere now. Surprised there isn't registration forms in cereal boxes. Way to snub independent voters, Alpha. I've voted for both Republicans and Democrats in the past. Illinois (Chicago?) has a closed primary so you pretty much have to tell them which ballot you want before hand. Not sure why NY can't be similar? Although having a closed primary in itself is pretty dumb; what if you wanted to vote for a candidate that's a democrat but you have a republican ballot? See, it's screwy.

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 04:43 PM) Didn't he have a great start last year there except for giving up the homer to Asdrubal? Or was that a different year? That was last year. So he only gave up 2 runs and lost the game. The hitters were bad last year.
-
QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 04:16 PM) Thanks. Those two things are in no way related. So assuming that everyone can decide on which party they want to vote on six months in advance is practical? Yeah ok. And everyone should just go to college and get good jobs because it's that easy.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 03:34 PM) false equivalency is a fallacy. And now you get it. Congrats Reddy.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 03:19 PM) Dude hit 53 homers last year in Korea, I'm sure he's had his fair share of bat flips. Yeah that Korean league is all about offense and absolutely zero pitching. -

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 03:06 PM) How did Latos look today? I was only able to start watching last inning. His stats look good judging from the box score, but that can be misleading sometimes. He was pretty good if you ask me. Gave up triple due to bad defense but I think he did good enough to win the game. -
QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 03:01 PM) I don't think forcing people to register ahead of time is a big deal. And I think voting is something people should have to put effort into. The easier you make it, the dumber the electorate, and the more Trumps you end up with. Kind of like how everyone should pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 02:16 PM) Criticizing a state's liberal leanings for why it suppresses voting is...... inconsistent with reality. Fair enough, I shouldn't have put the liberal tag on it; probably better to say corrupt and inept then anything else. Voting should not be rocket science and yet this 6 month rule is screwy as hell. People should just vote these hoops are just trying to make things more complicated than a blind man putting on make up.

Sox defense is still sketchy. The fact on a routine pop up you think their will be a collision is damning of that.
