ALCS- Kansas City Royals vs Toronto Blue Jays

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 18, 2015 -> 11:26 PM) My comments on the series ... -- If Royals want to win it they better get another great effort out of Cueto and win Game 3. Why? Ned is conceding game four by starting Young. That is like forfeiting the game. Laugh at me all you want, but I'd start Duffy. At least he has exceptional talent and despite the fact he's thrown some stinkers, he has the capability of pulling a Volquez and throwing 6-7 stellar innings. Again, he might bomb but Young will bomb! So that leaves it on Cueto's shoulders in Game 3. A loss would/will devastate KC IMO. -- That Game 2 win was impressive. Baseball should be ashamed of itself starting games where the shadows will dominate for 6 innings. It's annoying for the TV viewer and downright dangerous for hitters and fielders. They can't see the damn ball. It's an abomination! No shadows. -- KC is not out of the woods yet. Rios remains a baseball "bum." He still could just about single-handedly ruin this for KC and its fans. I will give him credit though. So far he's had a few huge hits in the postseason. His defense remains wickedly awful. I can't forgive him for his lousy years with the Sox. Mr. Rios ... you are NO Jermaine Dye. -- Herrera and Davis have been pitching very very well. This is a Ned godsend because Herrera has not been nails the entire season. Human at times. -- KC fans annoy me by standing too much during the game. Sit down chumps. -- KC still is more dangerous when guys like Dyson and Gore are in the game reeking havoc. I realize they can't play because Rios is in right. -- Cain swings very hard. Surprised his back can hold up during a whole season as hard as he swings. Finally, I am not impressed with Toronto's manager. In fact I think he's a hack. LaTroy Hawkins?? Are u bleeping me? He's gotta hope toronto's big guns start hitting the ball over the fence and Tulo turns back into Tulo. My what big opinions you have greg-o. -
QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 19, 2015 -> 02:43 PM) What about this postseason has supported the thesis that home run hitting teams are worse? I never said they were worse. I just think they'll continue to have those problems against good pitching teams.
-
The cubs are a one dimensional team. They can't win without the longball. That in itself isn't bad but good pitchers won't give you pitches to bop out of the park.
-
It was bound to happen it just happened at an inopportune time for the cubs.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 18, 2015 -> 08:01 PM) Both Mini Ruth and Montero have argued with home plate ump. Lol. About what? Syndergaard is dealing and those were strikes.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 18, 2015 -> 07:42 PM) Is arrieta's fastball down 4 mph? Read that on twitter. Just tuned into radio so far though so idk. I don't think Arrieta has pitched poorly. Fowler some what let him down on a flyball and the homer was on a good curve; Murphy was just better.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Oct 18, 2015 -> 07:35 PM) TBS guys the whole playoff have a huge case of Cubbie Chubbie! I'm not seeing it. What are you guys talking about?
-
QUOTE (daa84 @ Oct 18, 2015 -> 07:18 PM) Cubs sitting dead red. Syndegaard is gonna have to throw those off speed pitches for strikes. Bringing the heat, but that's a relatively straight fastball Probably hard to throw that fast and have movement on it.
-
QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Oct 18, 2015 -> 07:04 PM) Blah blah blah announcers. Kiss more cub ass. What are you talking about? Can the cubs produce runs tonight not via the longball?
-
Ultimately, we probably want to lose every game as to get good draft picks. If the bears are barely winning or losing close games with the s*** talent they have now, they'll be much better in the future.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 18, 2015 -> 03:55 PM) Think the refs want out of there? Blatant holding right in front of the ref on the deciding play of the game. I saw that, why wasn't that f***ing called?

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Oct 17, 2015 -> 10:08 PM) A 30 year old lefty from the NL. What could go wrong. He's a left handed power infield bat and can play a couple of positions but yeah I get it.
-
Sox should sign Murphy.
-
Good pitching >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Good young hitters

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 17, 2015 -> 07:23 PM) Murphy had one homer in the regular season vs LHP. In the playoffs he has two vs Kershaw and one vs Lester. That's baseball for you He is locked in. Good way to start for the Mets.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 17, 2015 -> 06:41 PM) Eh? I see what you did there. It won't be easy, but in that dome, the Blue Jays can do anything. Yeah it's a lot easier to hit homeruns there, plus I heard they gotta keep it closed per the MLB. -

Anyone remember at the end up of the democratic debate how in the closing remarks OMalley attacked the GOP on that very issue.
