  1. Did he tear his meniscus moving away from that pitch?
  2. SS2K5 I hope you make gamethreads until the end of the year. Oh yeah... f***ing fire RV please.
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 27, 2015 -> 02:37 PM) How does firing Ventura or Hahn fix that? Stop batting him f***ing second?
  4. Samardzjia usually produces a dud after a solid performance. I think his last two outings were back to back QS. Hopefully he stops the bleeding today.
  5. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ May 26, 2015 -> 10:10 PM) He's about to go 2 for 6 in the Finals. Please tell me more about basketball immortality. Ah yes nothing like reading J4L posts about sniffing Lebron's nutcheese.
  6. I missed the game, Robertson blew another save? Just when you think things couldn't get worse. And Danks f***ing sucks. This team will be a lot better when he's gone gone gone baby.
  7. I am optimistic that RV will be f***ing fired so this team can actually move forward.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 26, 2015 -> 02:33 PM) We saw the same stuff with Ozzie at the helm. Remember Corpseball being the favored term around here? Now Ozzie gets almost as big of a round of applause as Paulie. 2005 will probably get him applause for a long time at this f***ing rate. I don't think the team should replace RV with Ozzie but...
  9. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 26, 2015 -> 02:25 PM) I don't begrudge any fan that wants to take a step back after the last 30 year of mostly futility but "renouncing your fanship" seems absurd to me. The White Sox are in my blood thanks to my pops, I won't ever quit them but I will vote with my pocketbook this year. When they come to Safeco I won't go to all three games and I won't plan a trip to the Cell until the prove they are a good team again. But I will continue to follow the team, no matter how bad it gets. Yeah I feel the same way. I'm a SOX fan until I die but whether I not I attend or watch games on TV depends on the product they put on the field.
  10. I am starting to think the team just doesn't buy into Ventura. How else can you explain the lackadaisical performances?
  11. Sox are going to lose as long as they have this loser ass manager Ventura. f***ING FIRE HIM ALREADY!
  12. Just f***ing fire RV already jesus christ.
  13. Yeah why the f*** is Bonifacio playing...?
  14. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ May 23, 2015 -> 10:24 PM) The main problem is that our batters aren't tough outs against strike-throwers. We consistenly lose the pitchcount battle- it's all I pay attention to now. Foul that s*** off like crazy first time through. Piss the pitcher off. Play the GAME, not the sport. Shuck had a real good AB against Perkins. Tyler should have ended the game where the pitches were thrown.
  15. Get a room you two... better yet block each other and call it day.
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 23, 2015 -> 06:00 PM) No team can afford a 400 OPS hitter...especially when they're scuffling so badly to turn over the line-up. I don't care if it's Ozzie Smith or Omar Vizquel out there because there's just too many other defensive black holes. Blame Melky, LaRoche, Abreu, Ramirez. These guys are super underachieving at this point. If they are at career norms Sanchez's bat won't even matter.
  17. QUOTE (JoshPR @ May 23, 2015 -> 06:00 PM) No dude your s*** is tiresome. Every game thread the same s***. You question everything. Sheesh relax. Would love to see you manage. Not robins fault this piece of s*** dont swing I think he's pissed Robin didn't PH for him. I probably would have used Soto myself; you can't have people staring at strikes right in your wheelhouse. I rather see Flowers K with a homerun cut.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 23, 2015 -> 05:56 PM) May owes the White Sox a dinner tab....4 of career 6 victories, top two strikeout performances. This line-up is cinnamon toast crunch without Avi. Cabrera and Sanchez need to sit. But might not have another option in LF, unfortunately. Sanchez is fine. He's in there for his defense. Melky on the other hand...
  19. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 23, 2015 -> 12:38 PM) I'm just waiting for Abreu to go on one of his absolutely bonkers stretches. He needs to take walks first because he has shown he'll swing at absolute s***.
  20. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 22, 2015 -> 12:15 PM) Lloyd McClendon had a great quote today about how his guys are pressing and it's leading to them swinging at pitches out of the zone and how he's been emphasizing "take your walks" all week. We'll see if his message gets through to the Mariners but the Sox would do well to consider similar advice. I will say that I thought Jose and Avi got "aced" a couple of times last night with RISP, and there wasn't much they could have done to work a better count. But there were certainly other opportunities this season where it made sense to take a few freaking pitches with a wild pitcher on the mound. Salazar had no fear against our best hitters. He just went after them and they had no answer.
