  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 12:57 PM) "I looked at the tape of the game, and I was pleased with the effort that the players gave. It doesnt mean it was enough to win the game, because it certainly wasnt, but the effort was there" -Mark Trestman The man is a jellyfish. Stick a fork in him.
  2. Sounds like a personal problem.
  3. Castro blows. Give them Viciedo and a scrub prospect or hang up the phone.
  4. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 01:10 PM) I hate polls that don't offer "In a Relationship" I will have a fiance within 4 months In a Relationship equates to being "Single". Does the government ever ask on marital status questions if you have a significant other?
  5. I'm a temp, I could very well be gone by the end of the contract. Plus I'm returning to school in the fall (fingers crossed) for my Ph.D. I know, half empty thinking. She's in a different department and the company is rather big. I'll play it safe and gather more information first.
  6. That beef has been going on for far too long. Next up, IRAN!
  7. General rule of thumb is to stay away from work relationships, right?
  8. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Dec 16, 2014 -> 04:26 PM) Problem is he not really a backup CF. Need a guy who can play all OF positions pretty well . Jordan Danks is still the best we have for that so far. If the asshole would just learn how to f***ing hit he'd be a shoe in. He swing just makes me want to punch him in the face.
  9. Get him as the fourth outfielder. It makes too much sense.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 16, 2014 -> 09:14 AM) It's better. The second-half is what the show will be moving forward. No more Carrie bulls***. Just action and ass-kicking and stopping terrorists. It's crazy but I want the terrorists to win.
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 16, 2014 -> 03:50 PM) And now SF gets to sit at home too. With their classic car rebuilding firefighter fans What does this mean?
  12. QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 04:27 PM) I thought about it. But I dont like to blend in when I go to games if you catch my drift. Heh then Samardzija is probably not a prime choice. Go with Flowers. I doubt he has many people wearing his jersey. Maybe Quintana too. You just don't know if he'll be around.
  13. QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 04:24 PM) Figured I'd ask you guys. These went on sale today http://www.chicagosportsdepot.com/ws16477.html The really only relevant jersey I have today is Cutler(I dont go around wearing that one). I dont like buying jersey's of people on 1 year deals though. But I figured this was a nice way to support the team in a small way and early birthday present to me. So to make a long story short. Do you think it's a good idea to buy one? (Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section) Why not Abreu or Sale?
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 03:09 PM) Duncan, Manu, Tiago & Parker out for Monday night #popdontcare Safe bet to take the Blazers tonight then?
  15. Who are the Boston pitchers anyway?
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 10:14 AM) Jay Cutler can be that guy. Yes!

Homeland just keeps getting better and better.
  18. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 13, 2014 -> 05:02 AM) These are the type of posts that really make me want to see Jay Cutler succeed. Nobody wants to see Cutler fail that is a Bears fan. It is disingenuous to say he has earn his pay this year. People just want him to perform based on the contract he was paid. He simply is not at this point.

SOA did alright with the ending. I just finished Dexter. I know I'm late to the party but that ending was absolutely brutal.
  20. Is this thread to discuss the healthcare market place? I am signing up for insurance and wanted to know if anyone else had used the get cover illinois website to do so.
  21. So what's the probability people lose their jobs over this? Or are the owners just burying their heads in the sand?
  22. Well Emery brought this circus to Chicago, he needs to go with it.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 10, 2014 -> 12:38 PM) Ok, so my wife and I caught up with Homeland last night. While exciting/gripping, it was so unbelievably stupid and unrealistic. That's what made the first season or two great - you could actually believe that kind of thing would happen. This season? Not so much. A few issues here: The husband of the ambassador walking around the embassy, entering whatever door he pleases? Including private rooms? Please. A tunnel magically open to the outside world that isn't guarded or monitored at all (and apparently outside of the embassy walls?)? Please. Working with the Pakistani government (or even factions of the government) who are knowingly aiding and abetting the most wanted terrorist in the world? Please. Having a list of our assets in some unprotected form like a piece of paper? Please. And of course that's ignoring the greatest "wtf, yeah right..." - that the terrorist planned this all (per Carrie to Saul). So he planned to have Pakistani intelligence give the CIA station chief targets (killing his own family/people), which would then precipitate that CIA station chief being "outed" (even though he wasn't within the CIA itself until after he died), which would then result in a public murder, planned of course, which would then force Carrie to become the new station chief, which would require her to call Saul and bring Saul to Pakistan as a private security employee, which would allow for his capture (btw, this all requires that the CIA would notice the guy in the crowd with the ear piece and start an investigation that Saul would become a part of), which would result in a prisoner exchange, which would then set up an attack, which would draw every single military officer away from the embassy, but one, apparently, which would leave the embassy open for attack (i'm sure that's standard protocol). All of that pre-planning dependent, of course, on the terrorist-supporting Pakistani intelligence woman getting the ambassador's husband to steal information for them (such as the tunnel) which supposedly was not known about until after Saul was captured, but was always part of the plan to infiltrate the embassy?! WHAT. THE. f***. Having said all that, i'm very excited that Quinn is going full-Bond mode (knowing that i'll have to suppress and ignore the fact that he's white and would be outed in Pakistan within a day) and look forward to the upcoming episodes! I don't think everything was elaborately planned as such. Some of it was on the fly I'm sure. I think the Pakistani intelligence hatched the scheme and brought the terrorist contractors to conduct it. It's no different than what the CIA does. The general is probably is the only that doesn't seem complicit in the scheme. That tunnel was used by embassy personnel to slip in and out of the embassy without detection. You could argue about embassy protocol but then I don't really know how it works. I mean it makes for good TV that they were that inept. Just my 0.02 cents.
