  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 23, 2014 -> 07:21 PM) 2nd time through the line up. Rienzo will ultimately be a relief pitcher. What evidence do you have of that? He's made some bad pitches. All pitchers do that.
  2. Rienzo needs to pitch to contact and let the defenders make plays. I mean, that's how you minimize pitches.
  3. First move, guess wronged. I like the aggressiveness on the base path.
  4. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 07:13 PM) Not going to happen 70 pitches already in 3rd. I'm being facetious.
  5. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 07:11 PM) Charlie is going to eat 6 innings hell or high water. He needs to go 9 no matter what the score.
  6. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 07:09 PM) Robin, please don't let the Sale scare skew your judgement. Let Leesman throw 140 pitches if need be. This game is a lost cause and so is Charlie. Give the bullpen some rest today and hope Rienzo brings his A game tomorrow. Agreed. It's Charlie's game now.
  7. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 02:58 PM) I may be the only one, but I'm glad Jordan is getting more AB's and I hope he stays in LF when Spanky returns to CF. I know he won't since they want to showcase DeAza but they way Alejandro has been swinging the lumber, Danks should be starting. Danks was pretty brutal last night. He's not a defensive liability but he is pretty weak with the bat. De Aza is off to a slow start but he'll heat up.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 12:47 PM) Remember, this is still baseball, when you write such things, even if they should be correct, they're likely going to wind up wrong. I will gladly be wrong in this case. The more I think about it, probably just tonight. Smyly versus Rienzo could produce a high scoring affair.
  9. We can probably chalk up the next two games as losses. We should look forward to Thursday's matchup.
  10. Just some bad luck there. They made contact just to defenders.
  11. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 07:02 PM) Victor Martinez is such a great hitter. I am not sure how he got his hands in on that pitch by Danks.
  12. Danks better cut down on his swing tonight in the lead off spot. He has to get on base.
  13. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 15, 2014 -> 07:16 PM) That's not what he's looking for. Closest poker room to downtown Chicago is Horseshoe Hammond, which is an excellent room. Harrah's Joliet, Hollywood Joliet, Hollywood Aurora and Grand Victoria Elgin all also have poker rooms. Pretty much all of them should have 1-2 NL Hold'em and 3-6 Limit Hold'em cash games going at any time. Most will also have NL Hold'em tournaments 3-5 days a week. EDIT: Horseshoe Hammond and Harrah's Joliet use the Bravo online system, where you can see exactly what games are running and how long the wait lists are: http://www.bravopokerlive.com/site/scasino Thanks brother. I was suppose to go last Tuesday but I bailed, glad I did. Next time I'll tell those clowns to go to the Horseshoe. I've been there a couple of times to their poker room, it's really fun.
  14. Travis Snider got sucker punched. Man that looked brutal.
  15. De Aza I expect that buffoonery from. Ramirez, not so much.
  16. There will be games like this people, just relax.
  17. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 18, 2014 -> 08:38 PM) Not writing him off, but . . . don't think he'll be the "monster" some thought. Hyperbole much? Let the guy adjust and actually see these pitchers more than once before you freaking right them off.
  18. I have an interview today with a company that operates in the same building I work in now. Trying to sneak my way without being seen is hard. I was allegedly scheduled for 12:30pm. I sneak my way out of the building without being seen and apparently I'm suppose to be interviewing at 1:00pm. The lunch crowd will be back so it'll be even harder to not be seen now. It doesn't help that I'm dressed up today in at a research institute. I think people know what's up but I'm sticking to I'm having dinner tonight.
