  1. Kenny and OZ 2.0 They are coming to blows.
  2. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 02:37 AM) Reading far too into it, is what I mean. LMAO you're probably right. I'll just keep doing me and see what happens. Hopefully it's not a big deal.
  3. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 9, 2013 -> 10:26 PM) Pettie, you sound like the girl in your scenarios So you're saying men get insecure? I'm sure it happens yes but usually not on the level of women. ;-)
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 9, 2013 -> 09:55 PM) We gained a game on the tigers! LMAO
  5. Quintana threw him a cookie knowing he was up 7 runs.
  6. Well s***...let's see if they can hold this lead.
  7. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jul 9, 2013 -> 04:06 PM) If we can't make the playoffs, might as well make it hard on them. Go fcking Sox. De Aza Ramirez Rios Dunn Kep Gillaspie Viciedo Becks Phegley Quintana on the bump Verlander will have no problem mowing this line up down. I only hope that Phegley can do some damage. If he shows he can hit both LHP and RHP consistently, that's one less hole to deal with.
  8. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jul 9, 2013 -> 02:24 PM) Yea, I can now see exactly why she's insecure about it based on how you just answered my questions. Retract the claws, tiger. We were just asking. I simply said it's her right to do whatever but I have a right to be frustrated with excessive insecurities. If she feels like I'm gonna leave her because I get in shape than I question our foundation from the get go.
  9. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jul 9, 2013 -> 01:34 PM) They can be, but that depends how the discussion went with you. She might feel you're getting back into shape to leave her/trade up to someone society might deem "better", simply because they're in better shape. I'm a bit surprised you can't see how she might feel that way... I can see how she might feel that way but I just don't think it's warranted. Granted, I can't tell someone how to feel but I don't think guilt tripping on my health habits is the way to go. Steve it was more of a "Why are you losing weight, I like your gut you're like a teddy bear!" I'm tired of being overweight so I am doing something about it. If she wants to remain as is, that's her right to do so. It's also her right to be insecure about it, finally it's my right to be frustrated with that.
  10. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jul 9, 2013 -> 01:10 PM) Maybe she was just being nice and saying I like you just like you are now. I don't doubt that. However, her insecurities in asking me why I am working out and what will happen when I lose weight are suspect.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 9, 2013 -> 12:40 PM) As for your predicament, the answer is simple. You need to talk to your significant other and explain that you are determined to get in better health (don't say "to lose weight"). This includes eating better and being more active - and it's something you'd like for her to join you in (losing weight/being active with your sig other can be a great treat). If she's not open to this, or standoffish, or ridicules your thinner physique, then as long as you're not married then it's time for you to find a new woman. No one should try to keep you from doing something to better yourself, and that goes 10x over for the person with whom you're supposed to be closest. I agree with you, since it's a work a progress, I won't be able to find out whether or not she'll respond positively or negatively until then. I just felt like it was a red flag when she said that she liked my gut. Yeah... different strokes for different folks.
  12. Yeah just go for it. You aren't a young buck anymore. You won't get ridiculed because you got rejected by say chick is that happens. You're seriously infatuated with girl right now and the only way to figure out if it's warranted is by asking for information.
  13. This job will be even more juicier that you've been patient and waited. Just remember, everyone is human.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 9, 2013 -> 12:37 PM) This never gets old. I concur. They are like brothers messing with each other as much as they do.
  15. Ok does she or does she not have a boyfriend? If so, how serious are they?
  16. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 9, 2013 -> 11:50 AM) Obviously I can't speak to your particular relationship, but it's not an entirely irrational thought. She sees the kind of girls that fit, athletic guys are with, and she knows she isn't any competition for them. And lets face it, even if you would never cheat on her with those girls, you are imagining what they look like naked. You need to reassure her that you are losing weight for health reasons and that it doesn't change the way you feel about her one single bit. Also let her know that while you would encourage any person you love to try and become healthier, your love for her is not conditional on her doing so. I was in a similar situation. When my wife and I met we were both extremely overweight. She has lost 90% of the weight that she needs to and I've lost only about 30%. I was initially very worried that she might be looking to upgrade. I think we all like to think of ourselves as noble but I really hope I do feel this way when the time comes. We men are truly physical creatures and can be distracted by beautiful women. It's sad that we always look to upgrade.
  17. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 9, 2013 -> 11:44 AM) Im so fixated on this girl its impossible to think. My mind is seriously warped at this point. lol The worst part is Ive known her for a few months, just didnt realize how awesome she was. Cant tell what the situation is though, shes got a boyfriend or something, has never really mentioned him much and he doesnt live here. So basically Im worthless at this point as I pretty much cant go 5 minutes without thinking about her. Ruh roh You're sprung. Unfortunately, there is no easy solution. Maybe go on dates with other women to see if you can strike gold? If you mess around with her just be very careful.
  18. Yeah you guys hit the nail on the head. Women and their irrational insecurities.
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 9, 2013 -> 10:48 AM) Is your significant other overweight or out of shape? Yes. I have a theory but it's always best to bounce ideas off people.
  20. Bump... Has anyone ever had the problem when you're working out and losing weight that your SO tries to stop you? Or compliments your not so attractive areas in an attempt to sabotage you?
  21. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 9, 2013 -> 10:26 AM) I just want it to start so I can forget about this terrible baseball season. +1
  22. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 8, 2013 -> 11:04 AM) 67 people shot in Chicago this weekend. Are we sure this isn't becoming Detroit 2.0? Well if by Detroit 2.0 you mean the violence, you are probably spot on.
  23. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 8, 2013 -> 07:17 AM) Got a call for a phone interview while on vacation last week. To prepare for the interview, I always go on to the company website to review info about the company and to review my application. Among other things, I noticed that this application asked for a salary range. 30 minutes into the interview, the interviewer is clearly very interested in me and quotes me the salary range for the position. The top of her range is a full 20% less than the bottom of my range. I asked her if she happened to read the part of my application where I provided my salary range. She said yes, but she was hoping that I was "flexible". I asked her if she'd ever encountered a candidate that was "flexible" by as much as 20%. She said she wasn't sure. Very frustrating. That is pure negligence. You don't mess around with that.
