The cop that killed Philando Castile should have absolutely been charged. Idiot jury.

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 08:40 AM) What were you looking for in this thread? 100 posts of people saying "oh that's sad"? QQ Nah but what's the point of turning it into a terrorist debate or whatever the hell people are arguing about? and QQ is a form a trolling. Consider this your warning. /g -

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jun 20, 2017 -> 09:58 PM) Too bad liberal hollywood isnt as good at meddling in elections as those pesky Russians. 30+ million for another loser lol. 0-4 so far in 2017. Still waiting on that referendum on Trump I keep hearing about from CNN! It's obvious the democrats keep picking losers. They think Trump's impending implosion will keep people voting for status quo democrats? lol

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 18, 2017 -> 08:57 PM) I wonder if President moron will make a public comment about a clean shaven white guy running over a bunch of Muslims leaving their mosque in London. Doubtful. I'm sure the media won't even call it terrorism. Lone wolf, mentally unstable, troubled individual.

I would give a lot of the money away. Keep enough for me to live comfortably on investments and interest and just pay off a ton of people's debts.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 17, 2017 -> 10:11 PM) Any technical folks looking for flexible but well paying jobs? My company needs services consultants real bad. We have so much work and nobody to do it. What are the requirements and salary?

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 01:00 PM) We all know how much Floyd loves money, but it would be shocking if he gave up his undefeated record in trying to get those 2 extra paydays, that wouldn't be guaranteed, Would this fight really go on his record though?

I feel like people are blowing off their own body parts more than actually shooting the wrong people. -
QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 10:36 AM) Yep. companies will do that. Just stick to your guns and wait until you get what you need to move on. If you have the option. Sometimes you need to take one just to get out of a bad situation you're currently in. Yeah I'm not in any desperate situation so I can hold out until I get an offer I feel is fair. No point taking a job just to start looking for another one soon.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 08:05 AM) Some companies are just cheap as hell and then remain confused why they don't get good candidates. Other companies have upper management that will "let" middle management put in requisitions to hire people, but they purposefully set the salary so low that the middle manager will never find a qualified candidate they like at that range or it'll be a constant churn of mediocre to bad employees. Yeah I interviewed at this pharma company recently and they said I asked for too much money. They wanted someone to make 20-25K less than what was market and wanted more experience. Good f***ing luck. I declined another offer because they initially said they would give me what I wanted. Then went down to something that was OK then tried to lowball me finally. I told them to take a hike. It's just weird.

QUOTE (Tex @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 09:04 AM) We can create scenarios in which untrained civilians with guns end in tragedy. How about the guy is pointing a gun at your head from five feet away? Do you want a gun then? We can go back and forth making up situations. You pick ones where an armed civilian is bad, I will create one where an armed civilian is good. What does that really prove? If your gun isn't drawn, you're still cadaverous. -
QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 01:09 PM) The hype and build will be more entertaining than the fight. Not going to pretend I know boxing strategy but can't see Floyd losing. Both guys getting paid decent. Easy money for Floyd.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 06:36 AM) The counter argument is the Dallas shooting last year. There were s lot of good guys with guns. Wasn't that guy special forces though? Hard for local PD to deal with someone of that caliber. -

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 08:55 PM) Well it was a 'good guy with a gun' that saved them, so why not? One of the members stated that if it wasn't for the one guy standing up and shooting back, he would have walked around the dugout wall and shot them all. Would you rather they all be dead to satisfy your anti-gun stance? You always imagine a scene where everyone whips out a gun and goes to shooting, but that doesn't happen. You don't need everyone, just a few. My gun is to protect ME. I have no desire to be hero-on-the-spot, I am not rushing to go shoot the bad guy, but if he is trying to shoot me, I will shoot back. Assuming I am not in a gun free zone, that is. Shiittttt Alpha we all know you carry in those gun free zones anyway. -
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 05:30 PM) Yes, and honestly if you don't want less than Y now or in the future don't take that job. All you're doing is setting up for the company to tell you no matter how good you are at the job, you are at the brink of what they will pay you. That means likely low increases in pay each year from now on, or until you get a different job. Here's the thing I don't get. You X years of experience, you plug them into salary or glassdoor and a market rate for the area pops up. A lot of these companies I'm interviewing for are lower than this. I don't know if I"m overvaluing my worth or companies are just cheap asses.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 01:13 PM) How good are your networking connections? I have personally found that industry contacts are usually more reliable than anything else. I have networking connections but I don't know how many would be willing to divulge that type of personal information. Quick question(s) about salary negotiations: If they say the job pays between X and Y, is it dangerous to go Y+?

QUOTE (Reddy @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 04:42 PM) I absolutely hate every single thing about this. I was in Arlington yesterday when it happened. Not far. I had lunch with a former Congressman hours after the shooting, and it was definitely weird for him. He'd played in that game for 23 years. I don't pray, but I'm hoping Scalise comes through this alright. NO ONE deserves to be shot for their political beliefs, and any liberal who says he "had it coming" is not someone I want to associate with. But I will say that I hate that a deranged, far-left radical can completely undermine every single bit of progress liberals have made against the Trump agenda in one swoop, and validate every Trump supporter in America. I'm nervous about the impact it has here in Georgia. I just got to the 6th this afternoon for GOTV, and both campaigns have had to put out statements about receiving death threats in the last two hours. I'm nervous about knocking on doors all weekend. But we can't let fear dictate our lives, and we need to spread a message of compassion. We have to start listening to each other. The end. Well said, especially for you. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 14, 2017 -> 11:52 AM) Now a shooting at a UPS in San Francisco. Quick! Let's see what party affiliation/race the shooter is!! This is not newsworthy. People blow each other daily but once people start targeting politicians, that's a different ball game. /green -

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 14, 2017 -> 10:34 AM) More disgusting s***. Seriously, I hope none of the three of you I've called out ever complain about the polarization in politics, or politicians making tragedies into opportunities. Congress people are just amplifications. You all need to look in the mirror. I should have clarified better but I in no way was trying to fan the flames. So please do not associate me with this. -

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 14, 2017 -> 09:31 AM) These posts make me ill. Can we maybe, for a day, blame the lunatic who did the shooting? And not create a link that can never be proven just to score political points? Come on. My intention wasn't to condone the actions. I was simply trying to state that desperate people do desperate things in desperate situations. I would never resort to violence with someone who I disagreed with vehemently. What this guy did was wrong and he'll face the consequences for his actions. -
