  1. Right now sure, but I am talking about May/June time, when the Sox.. were still "All IN", and they needed them. I saw that play, with Dunn that is.. and at this point its moot... The Sox season is done.. Also didn't they just sit him for a week.. Its not like anything has changed has it? And lastly.. Dunn isn't known for his fielding ability.. I don't know if you missed it, but I would like to know who would be a better fit for this club this year in your view as a manager.. and why?
  2. Are you okay with making Rios a 12.5million Bench player then? And do you think/believe that a different manager would make this team a playoff club.. If so who, and why?
  3. In old school ball, yeah that makes sense.. But, when you are making 12.5 Million, is it a big deal to you, esp when it isn't a "walk" year? I agree they should, but does that do anything anymore, is my question?
  4. Didn't Dusty Baker as well, when he was on the NorthSide of the city?
  5. I beg to differ, but we will see this off-season!
  6. Edit, that didn't come out right What would be a better lineup in your view, with the players they had prior to their trade with the BJs
  7. So no team isn't going to Overpay for a FA SP.. ??? I agree he doesn't deserve it, my point is.. I think some GM will overpay for him.
  8. I will state this briefly about Gordon, he should be in AAA at the start of the season this year. IMO they rushed him up here. Which is why I was glad they never called up DV, until later on this year. Rios IMO should have never been on this club, hated this move.. even last year. But, with that said to answer your question.. They were given enough time, but who replaces them.. Is Brett L an everyday player? At the time is Mark T, a better choice? I didn't see anyone on the 25-man roster that was a better choice.. and that's not Ozzie's fault. Is it?
  9. I would challenge that thought, Mark would be the "prize" SP on the market going into this year's FA class. I can see some team "reaching" to get him. In a normal market, where he is the 3-4th best.. sure, I can see your point.
  10. I have question in regards to this... How does a player get out of slump if he is not in said lineup? I also in the minority in this thread, I don't think Ozzie is the #1, 2 or 3 problem with this club. He is more like #4
  11. Well I didn't look at the salary standpoint, so I agree if you can trade him great.. I currently don't know all the guys salaries and such. Thanks for pointing that out!
  12. I would love to see MB stay a White Sox until the end of his career, but the shape the team is.. I don't see the need to bring him back, as they would have to pay him more than Peavy, which right now I don't see where they are going to get the money to do that. Peavy, maybe, hopefully.. can stay healthy for the entire 2012 campaign Danks, I like to see him get moved, for something.. OF/3b Help down the line, younger kid. Floyd, Stays for now.. Sale, gets moved into the Rotation. With Mark and Danks gone, he is the Sox only LHP in the rotation Humber/Stewart are the final two pieces to the puzzle. As they are now playing for 2012 rotation. I would also like to see who gets non-tendered or some type of Humber/Loaiza(sp) as I have a feeling Humber, well digress from this season.
  13. For my first post... I would not mind AJ being the backup next year.. and teaching Flowers everything he can.. minus how not to throw out runners! IMO Catching is the one thing the Sox have in 2012.
