Bummer warming up when the Sox have the 2 best relievers in baseball rested in their pen

He looks really bad of late. Still wish they just let Bummer start the inning.
Hendriks and Kimbrel are only allowed to pitch in the 8th and 9th? If there's a guy on base bring in your best guys. They're all rested.
-
Now all of a sudden the strike zone is shrinking
-
Schwindel has 2 of the worst strikeouts I've ever seen lol. He can't pick up Lynn's pitches at all.

People here bitching about why let Lynn hit are the same people who b**** endlessly about the bullpen.
Can't win.
Waving the white flag on an inning when the bases are loaded and Lynn is at 87 pitches is a mistake. The entire bullpen is rested.
You absolutely can win if you manage the game logically.

What's the point of bullpen depth when you can't pinch hit for your starter 5 innings in?
Having a Hall of Fame manager is great

yep, they have Kopech warming up also and a fresh bullpen
Good thing the Sox ride their starters every game with more resources devoted to their bullpen than any team in baseball

Letting Lance bat here when he's likely only going to pitch 1 more inning anyway doesn't make a lot of sense.

Steve finally commenting about how Tim gets nothing but inside fastballs.
I'm shocked when pitchers throw him anything that isn't a fastball in off the plate right now.
This has got to be the first time since he broke out where he's had 1 issue pitchers can attack like this.
-
Seems like the Sox have been more aggressively positioning guys up the middle lately which is nice to see
-
It's wild how effective throwing a fastball directly down the middle is for Lance vs pretty much any other pitcher in baseball

I'm still waiting to hear about why Katz pulled Tepera last week
It didn't seem like anyone even asked about that in the post game Zoom which is bizarre

I think we'd all rather he play at DH/1B, but him suddenly turning himself into a league average LF (per advanced metrics that I can find / understand) was a necessary evil that saved the season.
Given the construction of this roster, I'd much rather see Vaughn in the OF. He's a significantly more valuable player if he can handle LF/RF at passable effectiveness like we've seen so far.

I'll never understand the people in favor of pitchers hitting

How is Seby ever going to get a hit if he's getting this garbage zone called on him lol
Now we're seeing why Hendriks had been afraid of throwing it in the zone to Seby The Hitter

Good luck trying to hit if every pitch within 5 inches of the corners is a strike
-
Can't wait for an automated strike zone. What a joke
-
That pitch wasn't even remotely close to being a strike
-
TA looks so uncomfortable trying to hit anything on his hands
-
This offense is so bleak right now
-
Hopefully Lance is also getting pitches 3 inches off the outside corner then

Hall of Famers understand if Kimbrel or Hendriks pitch before the 8th inning their arms will fall off
