  1. Well, at least the Warriors fans have Patriots football and Yankees baseball to look forward to.
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 16, 2016 -> 07:46 PM) Saad - Ladd - Sharp Teuvo - Frolik - Brouwer Bolland Byfuglien - Leddy Johns - Campbell Oduya That's the start of a playoff team right there, thanks salary cap! That's depressing.
  3. Absolutely not on Reyes. He might make the team marginally better, but the organization doesn't need to look worse at the moment.
  4. Thankfully, Bowman has blessed us with the Seabrook deal, which turns into the next "Bickell contract" in couple of seasons.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 15, 2016 -> 03:39 PM) Mark Lazerus ‏@MarkLazerus 22m22 minutes ago Source says #Blackhawks fully expect to re-sign Andrew Shaw with Bickell's contract off the books. Still waiting on cap number, though. Hopefully this doesn't cause problems with Panarin in the future.
  6. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 15, 2016 -> 01:39 PM) The money they saved should go towards Panarin.... yes I know he has 1 yr left on his rookie deal. Shaw is a waste of space.. will be Bickell again. Agreed. Get this kid signed.
  7. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Jun 15, 2016 -> 11:00 AM) He showed flashes, but had a quiet playoff this year too. He didn't make the most of good line time, either. He spent a lot of time on bad lines, but he underperformed on the top line.
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 15, 2016 -> 10:53 AM) And I imagine this means Andrew Shaw will be re-signed in the next 24 hours. f*** me. They have to figure out Panarin, for sure. Shaw should still probably go.
  9. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 07:28 PM) This discussion annoys me. Butler is the one thing about the Bulls that doesn't suck. Okay, he's probably not the best player on a title winner. That doesn't mean the answer is to trade him for some castoffs from a s***ty team. He's young enough and his contract is going to be a steal pretty soon. They can still try other avenues to improve and do something similar in a year or two if things don't improve (I'm assuming Wiggins isn't involved). What's your plan? What gets the Bulls closer to a championship?
  10. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 03:01 PM) Sure, but the flipside to that is we have more than just 2-3 franchise players in the league. You can be a franchise player and not be a superstar (even though Butler is getting there based on his exposure and endorsements). Butler's a top 15 player in the league. Put him on the vast majority of teams and he's going to be the best player. Let's go down the list: GS (the big three) Cleveland (Lebron and Kyrie) OKC (Durant and Westbrook) Spurs (Khawi, maybe Aldridge) NO (Davis) Those are the only teams with guys I would take over Butler no questions asked. I'm sure i'm missing someone obvious, but it's still a small list. To me Butler's on that next tier with Paul George, Damian Lillard, Boogie, etc. Guys that aren't winning you a championship by themselves but are still great players that won't allow your team to become the Sixers. Obviously the dysfunction around the Bulls this year hurts that argument, but I don't think that was due to anything Butler did on the court. I still consider those guys franchise players based on their play and marketability. They're all recognized nationally and for good reason. Top 15 player in the league won't win you a championship. Especially when some teams have more than one top 15 player. Move Butler if the price is right.
  11. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 11:30 AM) Barring injury, Jimmy Butler is Andrew Wiggins's floor. Absolutely no way the Bulls get him. Throw out the picks, I would do Wiggins for Jimmy any day of the week.
  12. Seems like a risky market (in the south), but best of luck to them
  13. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 04:58 PM) Highlight reel worthy. So brilliant to take the bat out of your three hitters hand in the first inning. I'm so tired of that f***ing idiot Ventura.
  14. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 12:42 PM) This has always been the practice in allied health professions. The clinical instructor mentoring the student doesn't get extra pay and the student doesn't either. The theory is that the time spend mentoring is time away from patiet care so the student is costing the company money already. It's still wrong. If you work you should get reimbursed. Unpaid internships are garbage.
  15. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 11:13 PM) Ya Virgin America is great. A few of the times Ive flown with them they handed out free tablets to use on the flight and had free wifi. I'll go along with the idea that SWA is number one just because Virgin America doesn't go as many places, VA offers an international-type experience.
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 08:49 AM) https://www.yahoo.com/news/black-hole-withi...-000000238.html Good column, The Black Hole Within Donald Trump. There's just no way any Republican with a conscience can help to elect this guy...they can still vote for down-ballot GOPers, but should pass on checking off Trump if they truly love their country. You're seeing that in some places. Mitt Romney clearly isn't going to vote for Trump. Mark Kirk doesn't support him, either.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 04:10 PM) Hopefully the clean out the farm system. The Cubs are just a little premature. If I had to guess, they would want to maintain whatever big league depth they needed and maybe consider a move like this in a year or two, but I don't know. Their best players are still quite young.
  18. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ May 24, 2016 -> 10:24 AM) Southwest is the best domestic airline hands down. This is fact. Actually, that's Virgin America. Fly that once and be spoiled forever. Get the best of both worlds with a Chase Sapphire Preferred card. Points can be moved to United, Southwest, Virgin America, or KLM-Air France miles.
  19. QUOTE (shipps @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 03:29 PM) Spiegel seems like one of the more forgiving people in the business but yeah, he also knows when to draw the line with people too. I never understood why Mac was so popular in radio though, he never brought anything to the table where I thought to myself...damn thats a good point. Not that the other guys bring that very often but they many of them are at least capable. The old Mac, Jurko, and Harry show was tolerable in small doses, but it wasn't all that good.
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 03:07 PM) Mac is toxic, the Score doesnt need that guy. You cant count on the guy I'm inclined to agree. I'm over him, too.
  21. QUOTE (shipps @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 12:06 PM) Herb Lawrence thinks that McNeil will wind up back at the Score it seems. Terry Boers is retiring in January 2017 so there will be a spot open somehow. One of the afternoon or evening guys will probably move over with Bernstein and that will open up something. The Score is always trying to shake things up so who knows. If I had to guess, you go with Goff and Bernstein (Spiegel doesn't much agree with Goff) and then put Mac back. That, of course, still seems unlikely, seeing as I'm not sure the hatchet can be buried between McNeil and Spiegel after the first collapse.
  22. QUOTE (shipps @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 11:30 AM) Yes, unfortunately he is still the manager. That was fantastic. Thanks for that.
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 10:10 AM) I have the same feeling. There hasn't been many hitting prospects to really be excited about. Even Trayce was pretty much whatever. I think Beckham may have been the last one that made people excited and while he was great that year, initially he struggled. Before that it was like Josh Fields, I think. Difference is, everyone thought Fields was ready and he was worse than Beckham.
