  1. Depends whether or not we feel this team is for real as a post season threat. If this team continues to be terrible, anything is on the table, IMHO. I laugh when people call this trolling. It's a fair question.
  2. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 08:58 AM) Where is sox weakness at SS or 2b? Center field. The bat is what excites about Profar. 23 year old potential centerfielder and a potential upgrade over Rollins/Saladino. I'm just throwing it out there for discussion.
  3. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 08:41 AM) Theyd probably want pitching since that seems to be where they have weakness That's a good point. In fact, Profar wouldn't be a centerpiece of a trade at this point. I would expect TEX goes after a big name pitcher and sends back Profar and something else. Not sure we have what they want because they're in "win now" mode.
  4. The Rangers are in a bit of a predicament. They have Elvis Andrus with a big contract and Jurickson Profar has torn it up since coming up from AAA Round Rock during the Odor suspension. Andrus likely isn't going anywhere (Rangers have one of the best defenses in the game) and Odor seems overvalued at the moment, but what would it take for Hahn to put together a package for Jurickson Profar? Admittedly, I can never predict what trades will happen, so I'm appealing to the baseball minds on this one.
  5. QUOTE (Vance Law @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 12:14 AM) Ugghhh. Tooo many meatheadddssss!!!!! Pot calling the kettle black. You don't reward play like that by benching a guy.
  6. QUOTE (Capn12 @ May 31, 2016 -> 07:53 PM) Awwwwwwww yeah, its time for the White Sox bullpen! YOU GET AN RBI! YOU GET AN RBI! EVERYBODY GETS AN RBI!
  7. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 31, 2016 -> 07:48 PM) Chuck GarfienVerified account ‏@ChuckGarfien Who knows when the White Sox will bring up Tim Anderson, but they've got a really good young shortstop right now--Tyler Saladino. How did Hawk get into Garfien's account?
  8. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 31, 2016 -> 07:34 PM) And that's why they will beat the cubs again in October Harvey sucks against real baseball teams.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ May 31, 2016 -> 07:30 PM) To center? Trading him.
  10. QUOTE (flavum @ May 31, 2016 -> 07:28 PM) Anderson 2-3, double tonight Steve Stone suggested moving him. I can't see us doing that with Rolling being so bad.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ May 31, 2016 -> 07:23 PM) Ian Desmond is good So is Adrian Beltre. And Nomar Mazara. Also Jurickson Profar looks great.
  12. Rangers have hung 5 on Kluber and he's done in the 8th.
  13. QUOTE (ronkark @ May 31, 2016 -> 06:47 PM) Reality check for those pushing Todd Frazier for the All Star game. Offense: HR and run production very good. Average: terrible. .219. No all star should hit .219. Defense: Made some nice plays but some have compared to Crede. Frazier let two go under his glove that lead to runs in last couple weeks. Then tonight: two errors leading to two runs. U-G-L-Y But still not as bad as Abreu. Don't cite average. It's a meaningless stat relative to those that matters. His OPS+ is 121.
  14. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ May 31, 2016 -> 06:25 PM) Because they are incompetent in running an MLB franchise. More accurately, you can't trust an owner in his 80s to run a baseball team.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 31, 2016 -> 06:01 PM) I predict he's fired on Monday if they only win 1 game or less on this trip. I would be overjoyed but it ain't happening.
  16. QUOTE (knightni @ May 31, 2016 -> 12:24 PM) Credit scores are crap. The more in debt you are, the better your score. How does having less money to spend equal a better credit risk? Agreed they're crap, but paid debt is more valuable than anything really. Paid debt is essentially credit, and therefore improves you debt to credit ratio. Once you own a car and have a mortgage, credit isn't super meaningful, but I sympathize with those with bad credit. I encourage parents out there to co-open a credit card with their children and only use it to pay the cable bill or something along those lines. That's a huge benefit for them going forward and you don't have to give them the card.
  17. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ May 30, 2016 -> 06:06 PM) There is certainly a lot of truth in what you say but there still appears to be questions in the minds of a lot of Sox fans how much real power Hahn has. He takes his orders too remember. I'd be more willing to put more "blame" on Rick if Kenny and his ego weren't around. Since they still are I simply don't know if it is totally fair to put a lot of blame on him yet. Mark That's why they almost have to fire Kenny, too so there is no doubt who is responsible for the player personnel.
  18. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ May 30, 2016 -> 05:58 PM) I'm not someone who says "Kill the bunt". But I think each team only has like 2 or 3 guys who should ever be bunting. Light hitting speedy players, a pitcher, or your #9 hitter, whom is theoretically your worst hitter in the line up that day. Your 3-5 hitters should NEVER f***ING BUNT, EVER. I can get on board with this. I can't believe a manager would bunt with a slow player having a strong season at the dish.
  19. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 30, 2016 -> 05:42 PM) Greg, they were up 7-1, 5-1, and 4-2 in the Royals series. The bullpen holds and it's a sweep. It's absolutely hyperbole. Have you seen the NL? Agreed. We are just not that bad.
  20. Finally I feel like we are all watching the same game. Bunting just doesn't work, especially when your best hitter bunts.
  21. QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ May 29, 2016 -> 09:23 AM) That would be an absolute game changer for the White Sox Organization. The old post office seems to be living in development purgatory, so we have no idea when this will actually happen. We will likely never get public money for a stadium again. Illinois is in too much turmoil.
  22. QUOTE (Y2HH @ May 29, 2016 -> 06:25 PM) Who exactly was the GM in 05 then? Name one stat that points to 2005 being anything more than an anomaly.
  23. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 29, 2016 -> 07:35 AM) Nothing questionable about the 9th? How about letting Robertson give up five runs and putting the tying run on 2nd before pulling him? How about after finally pulling him, then putting in a rookie into an extremely high leverage situation? How about walking the bases loaded (a day after failing to do so with their best hitter) with a pitcher on the mound having significant control problems? You can't only blame the players when the win expectancy after that first out was 99.9%. Like, there wasn't some bad call from an umpire. You know, the usual stuff that upsets Hawk. Just say you don't understand.
