When we were going for it and failing every year, the Cubs were an interesting example of what to do (rebuild and win). Now that we have rebuilt and are poised to win, the Cubs look like a "What not to do" on the back end. They ignored pitching, spent on the wrong free agents and are now looking at a potential early window closure. I have to think we're in somewhat better shape in terms of long term success thanks to Hahn's signing our guys earlier. If Hahn can sign Moncada, I feel extremely positive about this organization for a long time.

I used to own a Formula 1 (quartz) but I now have an Aquaracer. The Aquaracer is definitely better quality IMHO. The automatic movement is definitely the way to go so it will last forever. If you can afford the ceramic bezel, get it. If you're open to non-TAG models, I strongly recommend looking for an Omega Seamaster or Speedmaster. There are some good ones which can be had for $2000 with guaranteed legitimacy. Then I would recommend you find an Omega boutique (they have them everywhere) and have them give the full service. They'll replace the gaskets, clean it out, make it look like brand new, and then you'll get it back. For about $2500 you have a rehabilitated watch good as new. I know nothing about Prada bags or LV, but if you buy a TAG and a LV bag, you'll be writing a big ole check to the same company (LVMH).

It's not against the rules, period. If the rules are poorly defined, the parameters for breaking them are flawed and cannot truly be broken. Period.

Sox in Discussions for Moncada Extension per Y2Jimmy

Odds are he'll be great in 5-6 years. I don't even care if it's a bit of an overpay. The kid is great and has earned some good money. -

Good news: Blackhawks moved some players Bad news: They didn't get enough The United Center needs to be fumigated -
Meh, it's bad business to to sacrifice a year of control for 7 games.

Plus, Madrigal is probably going to be lower in the lineup in the big boy games.
-
I think there's a less than 10% chance that happens. They would have to agree to a contract extension. Madrigal is a good player but he's not Robert and the Sox are less likely to commit to him right now.

League circles and Sox twitter tell me this is the opening day lineup.

See Parasite. Far superior

God, when they say the "last worn by", you realize just how bad this team has been... And Espy Teahen has to be dead now, right?

It's far more egregious than what the patriots did. The Astros had real time, full time pitch tipping. It's far worse than anything the Patriots did.

Carcillo always struck me as human filth. Turns out that was accurate. -
I do remember that. Super weird.

Nick Madrigal will have a shot at being the Opening Day 2b

Yup. Sox are doing this exactly right. Have to send him down for control -
What would it take to get Nolan Arenado?

The problem is there really isn't any good reason to do this. Depending on what the Rockies want, you're talking a rebuild destroying trade here. Hahn's wiser to just hold tight. He rebuilt huge portions of this team and has yet to see any of it on the field. -
Not a stupid assumption. That's generally considered accurate. The cases are more likely to be underreported, leading to a higher overall mortality estimate. However, it's early so we don't know a lot yet.

Caulfield12, I hope you're staying safe. I would say in the US I would worry far more about influenza than I would about the wuhan coronavirus.

Agreed on this. There's a place in Austin that sells a ton of Destihl. Good stuff.

I'll start by saying I don't drink a lot of beer. I am much more of a wine person. I basically only drink beer on vacation, and when I do, I drink mostly Belgians and preferably Tripels. Pollyanna Bourbon Barrel-Aged Fun Size (Lemont, IL) Adelberts Tripel B (Austin, TX) Austin Eastciders Extra Brut (cheating, but a great cider - Austin, TX) Deschutes Obsidian Stout (Portland, OR) Delirium Tremens (Belgium) Oud Beersel Oude Kriek Vieille (Belgium) Jambe-de-Bois Belgian Revolution Triple (Belgium)
