QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 11:02 PM) If the trading of Oduya, Sharp and Saad was the nail in this coffin, then god f***ing damnit it was a great run and I enjoyed the hell out of it I doubt it's the end of it. The only one that's really killing the Blackhawks is Oduya being gone. At some point, Bowman has to draft or find his replacement.

ODUYA COME BACK PLEASE!

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 10:25 PM) Elliott has a horseshoe up his ass Lots of shots right into his torso.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 10:10 PM) Looks like they are just trying to kill each other now St. Louis has completely lost focus. Officiating is going to be super tight now

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 10:06 PM) How the hell is that on Panarin? It's not. It's a zero tolerance policy on behalf of the officials. Don't fight. Good playoff teams know better, which is why it's so surprising that Crawford left his net to fight someone.
-
Corey Crawford initiates a fight and the Blackhawks go on a Power Play. Better win.

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 09:29 PM) Paging 19 Paging 16 Paging 22 Paging 72 Paging 81 Paging 86 I could go on all day. He's not their only good player. Someone else could score if they'd like, too. Kane and Toews are held to a higher standard than any of the other guys you listed. The difference is, Kane usually has better offensive starts on his line. He's the Hart winner and needs to be better.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 09:11 PM) Real lazy play by Seabrook and the blues score first in a game where they've shown zero offensive pressure. This series is just so strange so far. It seems like the worse performing team has been rewarded in every game.

QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 09:08 PM) Good lord, Tarasenko needs ZERO room to make something happen. Paging 88, paging 88... Kane has been reminiscent of the 2011, 2012 years where he would just disappear.

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 09:04 PM) Huge win for the Penguins tonight. Murray was good, Crosby with a nice goal, Cullen for the lead and then played defense the rest of the way and added an empty netter. Huge win for this series. Definitely should keep it interesting in the East. For a while it looked like Caps would just glide to the Finals.

QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 08:47 PM) Hossa is on the 4th line to start, Shaw on the 1st with 19 and 16 Q gotta Q, I guess. Shaw isn't a real scoring threat.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 10:38 PM) That team is going to be scary going forward no matter what but add Thibs? They're going to be killer. Also injured and unhappy. No coach needs full authority. The coach and the GM have such different jobs.

QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 04:16 PM) LMAO Jimmy was like the one thing you would think with this Bulls team that was right. He was the one guy that you felt like at least he cares and goes about his business the way you would want someone to. Nope. Let Jimmy kick us in the nuts just to get that last shot in as every one else begins playoff basketball. My god this team is unbearable in every way. The Bulls are an organization in disarray, but clearly no one has the guts to do anything about it.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 02:59 PM) Sort of bizarre as Jimmy used to be the opposite. Right. He used to be a Kawhi Leonard type. Such a disappointment.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 02:09 PM) On Saturday, Bulls.com reporter Sam Smith told Jason McIntyre on FOX Sports Radio that Butler has a “colossal ego” and isolates himself from his teammates. “He’s really kind of full of himself,” Smith said. “He hangs around with Mark Wahlberg, the actor, and lets us know about that a lot. He goes around to premiers or whatever. He announced before the season that he’s the leader of the team and guys are looking around going, ‘What are you talking about?’ “It’s a really weird dynamic. He doesn’t like to socialize with the other players. Back in November they had a team bonding thing. They all chartered a bus and went up to wine country for the day. The only one who didn’t go was Jimmy.” It's getting to the point where you have to consider moving him. He's not a number 1 guy on a championship team. He would be a great number 2, but what number 1 is going to want to play with that Ego? He's become a bit of a monster. Tom Thibodeau is a leading candidate for the Minnesota job. Should be a fascinating team but in the wrong conference at the moment.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 12:00 PM) Wow, this stat: It was Chicago's first regulation loss when leading after two periods since Game 2 of the 2014 Western Conference finals against the Los Angeles Kings. The Blackhawks had been 70-0-4 since the start of last season when they had the lead at the beginning of the third, according to STATS. Blackhawks W-L stats are super gaudy as the series progresses, too. If I'm St. Louis, this isn't won until ten minutes after I win the fourth game. Blackhawks are always in it.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 08:26 PM) He NEEDS to switch with Hossa ideally. Hossa is a 3rd liner at this point. I still think Teravainen is probably Toews future RW although he can play center if he bulks up. If this were November, I would think this was a no brainer. At some point (if not now, next season) Hossa will need to be moved down to the third line anyway as he's just not the guy he was a few seasons ago.

QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 07:22 PM) 100% The other guy that has really been noticeable on the bad end is Teuvo. He is playing like a high school kid. And God forbid he ever win a board battle. I know he's still super young, but I'm not sure what purpose he really serves out there. I just wonder if the role Teuvo is built to play and the role Q wants him to fill are incompatible.
-
QUOTE (G&T @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 05:03 PM) Hawks have to play 3 periods. Agreed. Kane has been rough this series. The Hawks felt like they were in control and then suddenly they weren't. Definitely not expected from a Q coached team.
-
QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 03:52 PM) I'm in the building, not sure what the crew is saying, but the Hawks have looked great today. That Ladd shot that looked like it was in about midway through the second was declared a goal by Doc Emrick. The national booth has been very impartial. But indeed the Hawks look very good.
-
Doc just got Hawked
-
This series is great for hockey if it goes long and the Hawks win

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 11:08 AM) Except he wasn't in the offensive zone either. It is stupid. I agree the rule is stupid and that the rule was correctly interpreted. My thing is offsides is a little over enforced now. These types of calls shouldn't be major decisions deciding games and it probably shouldn't be able to negate goals. If the league wants to enforce these rules, they should have a replay official who can say immediately "Offsides" without letting an offensive zone chance develop ending in an awkward negated goal.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 09:00 PM) It was definitely over the line. Does it change anything when the goalie intentionally knocks the net off? I don't know. The ruling was Roussell didn't specifically kick the puck and the pegs were still down when the puck crossed the line. Really weird stuff. Dallas doesn't look good tonight.
