  1. wow. that's I would do a number of things, legal or illegal, to make sure that infield happens.
  2. Yeah, maybe if he got the Tim Anderson treatment I would be okay with it, but I think I agree with the rest of you that a year of play might be necessary before we pay him. I don't know how "never strike out, no power" translates to the majors.
  3. Definitely, but there's no "It's absurd to keep him in the minors for a month" argument with this guy.
  4. God I hope Vaughn plays in Armour Square. I'm fairly concerned Rick will trade him away.
  5. That would be the wrong thing to do. He's project 1.7 WAR player. There's a potential reason to keep him down for a while there. The whole projection is really shaky.
  6. I'm torn on this, personally. Robert looks like a much stronger player. Do you feel the Sox should sign NM or let him play it out? If the price is right, I guess I would sign him. I'm not a money expert, but I want this board's thoughts.
  7. Not a good time to trade Vaughn. That deal sucks.
  8. Lol, Rangers 4/5 hitter from last year is batting 7-9 in this lineup
  9. Yup. It's going to be a ridiculous extension but the fact is he's likely to be worth it.
  10. Hahn has time, but this is the guy you might just have to bite the bullet and pay large sums of money.
  11. This is true, but if you believe the CBA is going to address service time manipulation, you're better off having the guy signed.
  12. Uh, they gain a year plus in this deal. The real win here though is any changes to the CBA regarding service time probably won't happen to a signed player.
  13. Rick Hahn working his contract magic. Excellent
  14. You guys are all pretty awesome. Even @Chisox378 Also, if this board had a spirit animal, it would be greg
  15. Agreed. TA should never leadoff. The guy needs to walk, otherwise a hitting slump or a BABIP correction kills your first inning and wastes your power guys.
  16. On base more important than anything else. If he doesn’t get out, he needs to lead off. That’s just basic baseball strategy
  17. Ultimately, if everything goes to plan, it will 100% be Madrigal. He struck out like 5 times total last year. He’ll get on base. That’s all a leadoff man has to do
  18. We are only saying what experts are saying. Maybe you should try reading?
  19. This week has been so telling around here. The dark clouds are showing themselves in arguably the best offseason in White Sox history.
  20. “Above average bums”. Go back to Wrigley
  21. So we just tolerate boneheaded takes like this now? cool a good organization spends when it is time to spend. I will applaud them for spending when they need. They can only spend so much all at once.
