Luis Robert kills it in his first game in AAA
Bananarchy replied to knightni's topic in Pale Hose Talk
In most markets, there is no difference between being mediocre and being horrible. Attendance is all about winning. However, to win in the current game is to build the organization from the ground up. Tanking is one way to do it. There is no justifying being "anti-tank" in this league as built. -
While this is true, the rules are the rules and the White Sox would be crazy longer term to pull Robert up early. It's not about the money, it's about the control. The fact is, Robert was very, very expensive and the Sox need to get as much value out of the signing as possible.

he's trash. cut him ?

And we will. No doubt about it. First you need cost controlled assets (developed prospects) so you know you're not wasting money on free agents. Draftees are the foundation. Free agents fill the holes -
Sequel to the Moncada thread. The last thread about him is scorched earth. Let’s chat about him specifically. So far, so good

You can afford to pay all these guys in a situation like this. But yeah, I agree with @Chicago White Sox. GTFO -

I have never "ripped" JR for being cheap in free agency. @Moan4Yoan can vouch for me. And it's not about the money, it's about having the player an extra year. -

If they can't sign him, they won't call him up. Simple as that. They'd be crazy not to manipulate service time on a player who might turn out to be a superstar. -

What case does anyone have against our management for blatant tanking this year? We're hovering right below .500. Besides, you don't punish teams for tanking, you change the system to not favor tanking. Period. -
It's not a matter of being afraid or not. It's not even really a matter of paying attention. You are not a professional athlete and are unlikely to do something as basic as buying a beer when a baseball is flying at your head. Nets are essential. The end.

Sounds like, we are going with the Magic Man. Works for me. Rebuild seems to be going swimmingly -

Do everyone a favor: ignore @Fan O'Faust and stop quoting him. We ignore him to not have to read his trash and this isn't helping. -
Time for @CaliSoxFanViaSWside to take one for the team ?

100% Tough decisions must be made.

Yeah, I didn't see him in any interviews say that stuff. I wonder what the question was

Jose Abreu, in order to stay with the White Sox for the foreseeable future, needs to be ready to DH regularly. Vaughn looks to be 10 times the player Beckham was projected to be.

Sounds like a power hitting outfielder

GT: Tigers (27-53) @ White Sox (40-42), July 3
Bananarchy replied to soxfan49's topic in 2019 Season in Review
The 05 team, which went wire to wire and lost only one game in the postseason, and its World Series victory had nothing to do with a song. Superstition is for north siders. -
That means Joe goes. Has to mean that.

The best games have multiple winner threads.
