This old timey crap is over. Celebrity is the driving force in modern sport. Time to get onboard. -

Lot of baseball left to play. Of course, a year's worth of this is more than enough to pass. -

It's remarkable how bad the bums are on this team in contrast with how good the young guys have been. -

I think it's really cool that he only goes full meathead fan every once in a long while when it's warranted to remind you the guy is a lifelong White Sox fan. -

A Grand Slam single would literally make the season. -

I love the future of this team. I just do. It sucks we're under .500, but damn the right guys are playing well. -
Right. Watching strike three go by isn't elite patience. If anything, it's poor plate discipline. He looks like a different guy out there. Fun to watch.

I am genuinely interested to see if the White Sox pay for pitching when they're close.
-
I can't recall being this sad in some time. Notre-Dame is magnificent. So fortunate to have been there.

People can go after the Sox for player signings all they want, but when you get into the personnel, it's a losing battle. The Sox have always paid for the best with their product. Hawk was GREAT in the 90s and 2000s. He lost his way in the 2010s. They have the best groundskeeper in the game. They had one of the best organists in the business until she retired. They found a lifetime White Sox fan and sportscaster phenom to be their play by play to replace an aging legend.

Let the record show this person does not recognize the value of Steve Stone or Gene Honda, who are both literally two of the best in the business.
-
You mean like how he’s a multi sport commentator and recognized as one of the rising stars in the business? Or the fact that you can literally watch him do a national broadcast any time of the year? We are unbelievably lucky to have him. He’s quickly becoming the Gene Honda of sportscasting. And for the pay for top talent crap; Gene Honda is literally the best in the business and so is Steve Stone.
-
He’s one of the most sought after commentators in sports. Move along
-
He was unlistenable for anyone with a 5th grade education or better. Thank goodness we were able to replace him with a professional broadcaster. We are so lucky to have Jason
-
The best part of the broadcast is Hawk not being there. 2010s Hawk was an unbearable dolt.
-
Meh, he'll stay if the Sox want him to stay. The coming years are going to be rough for FAs
-
Robert is an MLB player. Scouts differ on how good of a player is. The crazy thing is the ceiling for him is a perennial all-star in some assessments. A lot to like here. And Madrigal playing well is an awesome sign

2018-19 NCAA Basketball thread
Bananarchy replied to southsider2k5's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
He was such a POS in the Missouri game. Like it's Illinois' fault his basketball talent is not as advertised. Underwood is a tough SOB but that's his style and his players love him. -
I think the original post was referring to Machado, but the joke also applies to Ramirez.
-
Take it up with your therapist. Thanks for ruining another winning game thread.

I mean, i like Q, but if Eloy is as good as he looks, I’m thrilled we made that trade.
