  1. Well said. Here's the thing about Trubisky: He's realistically as good or better than DeShaun Watson. Yet Watson is a media darling. Trubisky isn't. I can't explain it, personally.
  2. Quite the opposite. With a decent kicker, Trubisky won that game and we're talking about how well he plaid. And for all the sadness, it all comes down to this: If your quarterback is good, you're in good shape in the NFL. The defense is still young, talented, and inexpensive. Add to that Pace's skill on lower draft picks and you're looking at increased depth.
  3. The Trubisky injury clearly made an impact on the game plan. When MT became reasonably immobile, the team had to do more dedicated runs and screens.
  4. The Howard love is understandable and everyone should enjoy him next year in his last year with the Bears.
  5. Right. The Bears could beat anyone any week. Some people here just want this team to fail so they can grumble.
  6. Couple things We're a Matt Nagy offense, so screen passing and traditional passing with schemes to open receivers and tight ends Living and dying by your quarterback is the modern NFL. And for the record, a bad field goal does not mean we died by Trubisky's arm. That was a big time drive fourth quarter.
  7. It's pretty basic physics. Any small tip at the point of contact causes a large affect towards the end of the ball's trajectory. The ball hit the upright. I'm not saying it would have been perfect but it would likely have been a good field goal.
  8. Look man, facts are facts. The video is clear. You believe whatever BS Cub fan style hocus pocus you want to believe. Seriously, stop with the nonsense. Leave that to the north siders
  9. It's not a matter of should or shouldn't. It just does sometimes. Underwood had nothing when he arrived.
  10. I mean, a lot of that is bad luck, too, though. It takes a pretty mammoth effort to block a kick.
  11. Trubisky did what he needed to do. That's the major positive I took out of this.
  12. Bad comment. If he got a piece of the kick, that's a difference between a make and hitting the upright. You're upset, that's fine. I am, too. But the Bears should have scored more than 16 and the kick was tipped.
  13. Hopefully that doesn't mean Machado was choosing the winner of this game
  14. Give me four years of Underwood classes and we'll see how good Illinois is. Programs are built. I don't care if today is the bottom.
  15. T-Wolves realized what a lot of us knew a long time ago: Thibs is an all time great defensive tactician. He is a bad coach.
  16. Trying to aid the sting by realizing Mitch was great to finish the game. Still sucks to lose that way.
  17. At least they need to improve. I'm not sure how close they have to get to the tournament. At some point Whitman isn't going to be able to ask to pay another basketball coach
  18. Meh, the difference between baseball living or dying isn't Bryce Harper signing at an already popular team. They're better off waking a sleeping fanbase with him signing somewhere like the south side. White Sox fans love a winner and they'll go to games and watch games on TV for a winner.
  19. I don't normally defend the G-man, but he was wrong, not necessarily sexist.
