  1. Not really. Yeah, he's struggled, but he'll be fine.
  2. I can only imagine what Eloy day will be like.
  3. I'm inclined to agree with your opinion about Trout but I wouldn't blame him for going somewhere relevant.
  4. Maybe they can try to increase ad revenue? The number of writers at the Athletic are remarkable.
  5. The belief is they can't outbid the usual suspects when it comes to big time contracts. It's too bad, but i wouldn't be surprised if Boston and NYY each had one of Harper, Trout
  6. IIRC, a good number of Cub fans were mad at the Chapman signing. Now, Russell is a little different because he had trouble after being traded.
  7. Yeah, if the goal is to be better in 2019, bullpen is so irrelevant. It's one of the easiest things to buy/replace. Plus, not all of our young arms are going to be starters. A team that builds a good bullpen expects to compete now
  8. If the highest post count becomes GM, we're hosed. GM Caulfield
  9. I think it will take at least two seasons to go from 60 wins to 85+ wins. There may be a 75 win season in here.
  10. "strongly suggested". JR did not make a mandate.
  11. The White Sox were damned if you do, damned if you don't. The farm system was trashed after years of reloading, so they had little they could use to trade and had to settle for high price, low return free agents. Management has clearly changed their philosophy, so I'm not all that worried about Rick Hahn. He has done everything right since he decided to rebuild.
  12. The actual best player anyone alive has ever seen plays on a team that has been perennially bad. Moral of the story: One player isn't enough in baseball. Sox still did the right thing for where they were.
  13. That's a lineup that needs Madrigal for sure.
  14. Would it make you feel better if I said "acquire" instead of draft? Would it really change the point as it pertains to Don Cooper?
  15. Yup, he's the only one. GTFO with this nonsense.
  16. Because the only thing this organization can do is draft, develop, and maximize values of pitchers.
  17. I disagree. They may not be top of the rotation guys, but they're still pretty green to write them off as starters and Reylo has had a very good season.
  18. It's really hard to justify dumping Cooper. I just wonder if Reylo was lucky the first half of the season.
  19. He's definitely been an interesting specimen.
  20. Unless he's planning on getting a Bobby Bonilla deal, Hahn is better off in an organization he owns.
  21. Yeah, it's awful. Just stick with what we have.
  22. I'm for that as well, as long as it doesn't become the primary in place of the SOX
  23. I agree. The diamond sock is underutilized in our current look. It's a solid logo
