There are a number of posters here who went from Rebuilds don't work (Cubs win World Series) Our organization can't rebuild (White Sox start rebuild) Okay fine we'll rebuild Why isn't the rebuild over yet? What are Rick Hahn's qualifications? I don't know about all the Twitter era stuff, but when this team kept "reloading" and going for it with high paid bums only to be out in July, I was more angry than anyone here. My tune changed when the White Sox did the right thing and moved to build a younger squad.
-
Agreed. When ownership said "Okay, we'll blow it up", they pretty much said "we buy this will be a multi-year rebuild". At this point, Rick has done exactly what he said he would do and the farm system progress with players moving up through the system indicates that, with some hiccups, this plan is working. This is what ownership bought. They expected this. We're at least two seasons from anyone considering putting Hahn on the hot seat.

Yeah, because the Boston media isn't biased or anything.
-
He just needs to be more protective with 2 strikes. He's fine. He's better off here than in Charlotte.
-
I don't trust Rick Renteria's batting order to make any sense.
-
Right, and leadoff is supposed to be an OBP guy. Yeah, he strikes out a lot, but his OBP is .80 higher than his BA. You want a guy who gets on base and you want him to get the most at-bats. It's fairly obvious why Moncada plays leadoff. Focus on the future dictates Moncada and Anderson bat near the top to get the most ABs

What? If anything, Javy Baez is a better player than Robinson Cano now. All I'm saying is, if people are going to bellyache about the rebuild, they might want to, you know, do any sort of research into the players we're disucssing.
-
You're severely underestimating how good of a player Javier Baez is. And if you were stupid enough to think "comparing tools" was the same thing as "This is the next Robinson Cano", you probably should go back to the Chuck'E'Cheese table.

Okay, i want a downvote

Yeah, but it's a plus one, so your trolling is actually helping people. Good on the admins/mods

Meh, it's a plus 1

Screw confused trolls. Likes or nothing.

Can we just point out for sure who the "Confused Trolls" are?

Most reactions are just getting in the way now. Certain troll posters are "confused posting" everything and escalating the frustration in PHT in particular. Can't we just get "like" with no other options? -
Honestly, the reactions are starting to ruin this board. I know it's not a big deal, but the reactions are clearly escalating the frustration and the stupidity here. My suggestion: dump "confused", just give us "Likes" and be done with it. Only positive reputation or nothing.

So the Twins rebuild was going well and it went south. What does that have to do with the ridiculous statement "The rebuild isn't going well"?
-
Third best farm system in the sport but "the rebuild isn't going well" Are people seriously reading these posts and saying I'm baiting?

Good. Bunting is stupid 99% of the time. Hit the damn baseball. -
How many regular season wins did the Cubs have after Theo took over? Think, dude. Use your head.
-
Exactly. This is exactly why you don't start drafting for Major League need. You amass the most talent.
-
You like, don't read about other teams, do you? You are completely unaware of the rest off the league? Worst GM in baseball? Please.

You're definitely right about the pitching situation. The Cubs might actually be getting to the point where they might regret some of the lack of pitching in their rebuild. They really have nothing to trade for pitchers anymore. I suppose for them the good news is they can buy pitching but even they have a budget.
