  1. Yup. You really can't have too many middle infielders. They can play almost any position. They're the positional currency of baseball.
  2. It depends how you feel about KW and RH roles. Some of us believe KW let go of the reins years ago, others believe RH only got full autonomy when they blew it up and started moving players. I'm not sure how I feel, but what I do know is RH appears to be in charge now and throughout his tenure, he has been the best part of the front office. His talent acquisition has been spectacular so far and he was in charge of contracts under KW and the Sox are known for mostly good contracts.
  3. He doesn't understand the aims of talent acquisition. He thinks every player we acquire must become a big leaguer next year.
  4. What is it you guys say? Go Cubs Go, right? You and your little Cubbie crew aught to leave the White Sox discussion to people with real thought.
  5. Trading a young MLB player with high upside for prospects is asking to be terrible. No matter what value he nets, it's doesn't add up. You gather prospects to get players like Moncada and they don't come by often. And unless your scenario is "Everyone in the White Sox organization not named Yoan Moncada is dead and we need to field a team", there is no scenario for trading an asset like Yoan Moncada this early in his career. This is some Wrigley Field level stupid right here.
  6. As someone who only gives out likes, I approve of this
  7. No, seriously. That level of bad take is rock bottom.
  8. To answer a different thread: This, my friends, is rock bottom.
  9. I gave you a confused face because it just felt right, but I also love Moncada and am skeptical of the judgement of someone who has a handle that is a personal email address.
  10. What a complete disaster for KC. That bullpen was unbeatable a few short years ago.
  11. Gotta get on the red line at Sheridan to get out faster if you're going south.
  12. Sure, but in the end it didn't matter that he held out.
  13. Bosa was defensive rookie of the year. I'm not worried.
  14. Yeah, so...Ned Yost is terrible and so is RR. Yikes.
  15. Yeah...everything about that Ventura experience was stupid. The fact that he was hired, the fact that KW was "promoted" to VP to give Hahn the day-to-day and Robin was still given the seal of approval.
  16. Couldn't blame the Cubs for letting him go when they did and I can't blame the White Sox for not extending him now. I wouldn't fire him as the locker room appears to like him and the team is just bad anyway but this experiment probably needs to end at the end of RR's contract.
  17. It goes from being a "leap of faith" when you first start losing to "wait, now we're grabbing some really good prospects and the minors look full of prospects". I'm pretty excited about Madrigal for one.
  18. Right. At least the big league club has been bad enough Rick can justify not extending him, though.
  19. Girardi is a smart man. If our farm keeps being as insane as it is and produces MLB talent, he would be crazy not to take a flier.
  20. Smart observation. Good news is, batting average is only one piece of player value.
  21. The funny part is it took 88 years for the team to win a World Series and this organization did it.
  22. That might be a bit premature.
  23. Robot balls and strikes can't come soon enough.
  24. I'm happy to lose in the interest of a rebuild. You're the one suggesting that the Sale trade is worth more than it is. Maybe you can come back in 2020 when the team is ready to compete? I promise not to say I told you so then.
