  1. Long story short: Soxbadger, I don't think you know whats better for this team than Thibs and our FO does. I just don't. You're naming all these things that the FO 'should' do, I don't think any of it is new information to these guys. They know what needs to be done and I'm sure they have a plan of how to do it. Just because you have a plan though, doesn't mean its guaranteed to come to fruition, you know? These guys put us in a great position to contend. We had our shot and it just didn't work out. Now they're reloading for plan B
  2. And the FO is well aware of what they have to do. They just aren't in any rush to do it. The fans are free to make panic moves, the FO of a professionaol basketball franchise has to tread more carefully. While you and others may think that a #1 seed doesn't mean anything, it is actually a tangible positive affirmation that this team was an elite contender. You don't play that well, that consistent, that disciplined for that long without being a legit contender.
  3. He's a new HC, new coaches have growing pains just like rookie players do. Results speak for themselves, the players love the coach and play well for him. No we didn't win the championship (yet), but that doesnt mean we should take panic moves and fire Thibs and blow up our team. They're panic moves, that's all they are.
  4. Lol, jesus. We're a few years removed from being a .500 team with Vinnie D-umbass as our coach. Now we have an elite team that wins 1st seed every year, with the NBA coach of the year that all our players love, and some fans still aren't satisfied with any of it and want to blow it all up? Why do people not realize that making moves just for the sake of making moves is not guaranteed to make us any better?
  5. I think it's a strong idication, if they're asking him for his roster input, that the Bulls intend to re-sign him to a long contract. That sentence should abed the rumors that the Bulls don't intend to retain Thibs' services. It should also give you a peek into the mindset of not only the FO, but Thibs himself. He obviously thinks (again like I do) this this core is a good core and can contend for a title.
  6. That one sentence speaks a thousand words right there, don't you think?
  7. Management kept going through roster scenarios w/ Tom Thibodeau and asking: Who do you want to keep? His answer, basically: "All of them." Adrian Wojnarowski‏@WojYahooNBA
  8. Might be other stuff included in the trade. Crazier stuff has happened this year already.
  9. I'm saying I hope its a 3 way trade: Bulls get Mathews, Portland gets Korver and picks, Wolves get Batum
  10. They haven't matched Asik yet so no need to panic. If we can swing a 3 team deal for Wes Mathews....that would be very good.
  11. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8157984/...olas-batum-deal
  12. K.C Johnson ‏@KCJHoop Re Minnesota talks, Bulls have liked Luke Ridnour in past. He'd add $ next season but jibe with 2014 plan since deal expires then.
  13. He only played 5 games. But he's never been a good rebounder. He's one of the worst starting defensive/rebounding C's in the entire NBA
  14. He did manage to play 51 games last year, promising sign for him. And when he's on the court he can still create his own shot and be a play maker. Maybe this is the plan: compile a roster of injury prone players ----> players get injured ----> Tank '12-'13 For Derrick
  15. Good signing if he can stay healthy. But we have the most injury prone lineup in the NBA and this won't help. *gulp*
  16. It looks like it could be a two-way race for veteran scorer Michael Redd this summer. Chris Tomasson of FOX Sports Florida writes that Phoenix and Chicago are both interested in adding Redd, who turns 33 next month. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bulls/post..._medium=twitter
  17. He makes under a mill. But reports indicate the Wolves are looking to shed salary by trading guaranteed contracts and taking on unguaranteed contracts. Not seeing how it makes sense to trade Budinger for Korver in that case...
  18. I'd rather just take a 2nd rounder if its someone like Ellington or Lee.
  19. There's no SG on the Wolves roster that are good, that we could get. The choice is either 2 unproven rookies (who so far haven't been good), Luke Ridnour or Chase Budinger on a 1 year rental, or perhaps a back up center in case we let Asik walk. They got Brad Miller on a 1 year $5 mill or Darko Milicic on a 2 year $5 million Darko Milicic is horrible
  20. "11:13am: According to Michael Cunningham of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Hawks had interest in Korver, but it appears he's "likely" heading to the Timberwolves in a trade. The T-Wolves need to clear some cap space for other moves they've lined up, so I wonder if they intend to trade guaranteed salary for Korver's non-guaranteed deal."
  21. Could they be giving us Chase Budinger on a 1 year rental for Korvers contract...?
  22. We should always hope for luck but it's doesn't hurt to be prepared. We do still need another PG on this roster. And given the choice between Malcolm Lee and Luke Ridnour, I'll take Ridnour 9 times out of 10
  23. Thibs doesn't strike me as the sort of coach that will toss a green boy on the court in a major role, playing major minutes, in his first year. ...
