  1. She's pretty hot so good for Rock for going to dinner with her.
  2. It's all of those things I mentioned combined. He clearly doesn't interview well because he's been through that process 2-3 times, I'd bet. He's older. He makes a ton of money now anyway. He clearly loves Chicago. The following are all better options: Eberflus, McCarthy, Gase, Caldwell, McDaniels, Pagano, Steichen, Sirianni, Bieniemy, Flores, Lafleur, Taylor, Richard, maybe Harbaugh, maybe Riley, maybe Fitzgerald, maybe Rhule, maybe Shaw. There are plenty of options. I'm not going to get into Helfrich because I highly doubt he gets a HC job.
  3. I don't think Fangio leaves- age, phase he coaches, already high salary- and I'd wager a lot of money on Helfrich also staying.
  4. You don’t say that publicly then. You say “we’ll see” and you do it behind closed doors. That way if (when) you get neither player, you don’t look so fucking stupid.
  5. Except those GM’s didn’t come out and reveal that they were going all out for two huge FA’s.
  6. https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/white-sox/adam-jones-talks-about-what-he-brings-table-could-white-sox-take-gamble “Whoever’s cutting the check for him,” Jones said.
  7. Does he still throw it 40 feet above the first baseman’s head on throws to first?
  8. I agree with all of that. I know how good they are. That’s why I said I’d rather play SEA. Still, beating average and bad teams & losing to good ones over the last 8 games isn’t anything spectacular. And then after they beat Dallas, they can knock off NO and give the Bears a home NFC Championship game.
  9. Minnesota is 4-4 in their last 8 games. Not sure I’d consider that clicking. Plus, I would nevet bet on Cousins yet alone in the cold in a big game against a great defense. I, too, however would rather play Seattle.
  10. Give me #2. I don’t watch my favorite teams for good, I watch them and hope for championships.
  11. If this were to happen, the Cubs would be in big, big trouble in a few years. They won’t be able to keep Contreras, Rizzo, Baez, Harper AND Bryant at that point and their farm system will be completely depleted.
  12. The Yankees taking Stanton has to be the “biggest” but Stanton is a good player so I’m not sure “albatross” describes his deal, albeit not a good one.
  13. There’s no guarantee that RHH would get a hit against said loogy anyhow. It’s Bryce Harper. You don’t not sign him because of 2-3 PA’s in the playoffs against a “specialized loogy.”
  14. What a joke that tweet is. It’s Bryce f***ing Harper. His OPS was almost .900 last year against LHP’s. Who cares how he bats?
  15. At this point I believe if SEA and MIN win out, the Bears would host Minnesota. Regardless I’d much rather see them play Washington. You’re right, Philly would be terrifying although their secondary is dogshit.
  16. I’d love to see the Bears host Washington in the wc round but unless they miraculously beat the Titans and Eagles, that won’t be happening.
  17. You had insight a dozen or so pages back. Have you heard anything else?
  18. On Monday Kaplan said that the Sox won't be outbid for one or the other and that while both guys are fine "in the room," Machado is better.
  19. That may have been an issue in the first month or two but Nagy hasn't been conservative at all against Minnesota, LA or Green Bay. The only reason he may have been a little against LA was because Trubisky clearly didn't have it that game, but he was throwing late in the 4th against MIN and GB.
  20. Who was the poster who started a thread about Juan Uribe 6-8 months ago who was seemingly stuck in 2005 still? That guy ruled.
  21. More like a ball of fuckin' stupidity. Philadelphia is last.
