You don’t say that publicly then. You say “we’ll see” and you do it behind closed doors. That way if (when) you get neither player, you don’t look so fucking stupid.

“Whoever’s cutting the check for him,” Jones said.
I agree with all of that. I know how good they are. That’s why I said I’d rather play SEA. Still, beating average and bad teams & losing to good ones over the last 8 games isn’t anything spectacular.
And then after they beat Dallas, they can knock off NO and give the Bears a home NFC Championship game.
Minnesota is 4-4 in their last 8 games. Not sure I’d consider that clicking. Plus, I would nevet bet on Cousins yet alone in the cold in a big game against a great defense.
I, too, however would rather play Seattle.
If this were to happen, the Cubs would be in big, big trouble in a few years. They won’t be able to keep Contreras, Rizzo, Baez, Harper AND Bryant at that point and their farm system will be completely depleted.
There’s no guarantee that RHH would get a hit against said loogy anyhow. It’s Bryce Harper. You don’t not sign him because of 2-3 PA’s in the playoffs against a “specialized loogy.”
At this point I believe if SEA and MIN win out, the Bears would host Minnesota. Regardless I’d much rather see them play Washington. You’re right, Philly would be terrifying although their secondary is dogshit.
That may have been an issue in the first month or two but Nagy hasn't been conservative at all against Minnesota, LA or Green Bay. The only reason he may have been a little against LA was because Trubisky clearly didn't have it that game, but he was throwing late in the 4th against MIN and GB.
I guess Machado could have flown into either airport but the Sox fly in and out of Midway as do most visiting teams, so I would assume they would have recommended that to MM and his people rather than O'Hare.
