  1. Oops. I thought we were talking about Tate still. My bad
  2. Why wait for a comp pick if you can get the pick now? It's the same thing, no? Osweiler sucks but Peterman's in another area code. His career QB Rating is something like 39.2. Also, Buffalo doesn't have weapons even close to Miami's. Buffalo signed Terrelle Pryor and the rumor is he may play some QB. They also are bringing in Matt Barkley for a visit.
  3. He went to Miami OH and grew up in Dayton, I guess. I don't know. I'm just posting what the odds are. BTW, the new favorite is Zac Taylor, the Rams QB coach. My money would be on Lincoln Riley or Matt Campbell.
  4. The favorite in Vegas to replace Hue Jackson full time? Sean McVay
  5. I agree, and when Nagy realizes that screens are the way to beat the blitz (0 vs Patriots, 1 vs Jets [and it went for a 70 yard TD]), teams will stop blitzing as much thus Trubisky will look even better.
  6. I've never thought Montgomery was very good, but he may have a fit in Chicago. His versatility and hands could be beneficial here.
  7. I just think “major accuracy problems” is overblown. He was really accurate for the first 5 games. Before NE, he was completing over 70% of his passes. Most young QB’s struggle vs Belichick, and Nagy calling long throws in 25 mph wind today did him no favors.
  8. If they can somewhat contain Gurley, they have a chance. Goff’s really good but that offense was silenced in the first half today thanks to GB essentially shutting down Gurley. I think that game being outdoors on the shitty grass in likely shitty weather will help the Bears, too. The Rams only beat Denver by 3 and that was a game with a wind chill of 25. Win, no, but I also doubt they get crushed. One more thing about the Rams- their secondary blows. Trubisky’s athleticism will need to be evident getting away from Donald, Suh and Brockers, but if he can, I think they can score a few TD’s.
  9. The huge positive I’ve noticed is that with the exception of maybe one throw every game, he isn’t throwing into 2-3 guys or taking unnecessary risks. When he misses guys, it’s a good opportunity. With more starts, the accuracy will become much more consistent. His deep ball accuracy vs TB and MIA wasn’t a mirage.
  10. Some verified sports doctor tweeted that he believes that it’s a high ankle sprain. Nagy called it a foot injury postgame. As long as it isn’t an achillies or ACL, I’d consider it a relief. I just imagined it and he wouldn’t have had Nagy & Reid in year one so he wouldn’t be as good as he is right now. I also imagine how Bears fans like to make a decision on draft night and stick with it and will say anything to defend their choice, so just like Trubisky was a reach, Mahomes would have been too and every clown in this city would complain constantly about something.
  11. Per Schefter, Mack will test the ankle prior to the game and will be limited even if he does play. Also per Schefter, it doesn’t look like Robinson will play.
  12. And now it’s happening MORE OFTEN. No one is doubting it’s happened before but mass shootings and mass shootings directed at certain types of people are more common now than ever.
  13. Mass shootings are “all over” history but not to the extent they are today. “In the 50 years before the Texas tower shooting, there were just 25 public mass shootings in which four or more people were killed, according to author and criminologist Grant Duwe. Since then, the number has risen dramatically, and many of the deadliest shootings have occurred within the past few years.” - Washington Post Furthermore, I have no stats to prove it, but I’d venture to guess that mass shootings today are intended toward specific groups or races, unlike most of the past which were aimed at simply killing as many as possible.
  14. Another mass shooting, another white shooter. I bet these laws would become stricter if they were a minority, but since they aren’t, “there’s nothing we can do!” When Trump was asked today about the gun laws, his comments were “there should have been armed security.” Armed security at a fucking synagogue? Should there be armed security at my local Subway or the train station or the Walgreens next to my house? What a joke.
  15. Wait until they get the Jags' 1st round pick in 2019 for Derek Carr.
  16. At one point yesterday I saw Floyd jog off holding that hand again, so maybe it's still not healthy...at least I hope so, or else he's not very good.
  17. I'm apart of a Bears board elsewhere and I asked that since I was at the game and no one seemed to know.
  18. I wouldn't say bust, but he is on pace for a whopping 760 yards and 5 TD's. However, he's not getting targeted much so it's not really his fault. 1 catch for 4 yards is pretty poor.
  19. Oh, I agree on the defense. I’m just saying that they only gave up 24 points today which by looking at that, they were decent. Trubisky was off today, no doubt about it. As for Howard, I don’t know. I’m just not seeing it. He gets 4-5 yards every now and again but he looks so slow & most of his carries go for 1-2 yards. I’m afraid he isn’t a scheme fit and he’ll be traded in the spring.
  20. Yeah, and not to dodge criticism from the defense but they gave up 24 to Brady. If you had told me the Pats were going to score 24, I would have said the Bears will win. The ST is the scapegoat today.
  21. They beat 3 bad teams already and still play 3 bad teams. They’ll probably beat the Jets and Lions once too. That’s 8 there.
  22. Every D looks bad when there is no QB pressure and it’s understandable that Mack & Hicks can’t be superheroes every Sunday. It’s time for the almighty Fangio to fix it.
  23. This post is odd. You said it’s easier to digest when you have no expectations but now you’re saying you’re disappointed. The Bears are probably going to win 8 or 9 games with a ton of talented players under 27 years old. I’m not sure what the Mack trade did to you but this offense is going to be a work in progress all year. Deal with it.
