  1. Giolito consistently at 95 mph on the fastball in the 1st
  2. Because at the age of 23, a now-great player also struggled and in some categories, Moncada is having a better year at 23 than that now-great player did at 23. That’s why it’s relevant.
  3. A voluntary shut down is coming out and acknowleding an innings limit. A voluntary shut down is not scratching a pitcher on the day of a scheduled playoff start, yes?
  4. When a pitcher gets scratched from a playoff start the day of, I think it’s worth mentioning. Sorry for bringing it up. It doesn’t explain why you made up that it was a shut down last year.
  5. He was scratched from a playoff start with shoulder fatigue. If he had reached his innings limit, he wouldn’t have been scratched the day of, rather he would have been shut down the moment his prior start ended, just like this year.
  6. They had more time in minicamp. They had an extra preseason game thus an extra week of practice + they violently practiced against the Broncos for a few days. You would know better than I do clearly, but it’s not like they aren’t hitting anyone.
  7. RT @jasonbenetti: For perspective's sake: 2013, Jose Altuve (age 23): 152 games, .316 OBP, .363 SLG, 0.5 fWAR 2018, Yoan Moncada (age 23): 118 games, .302 OBP, .392 SLG, 1.1 fWAR
  8. I didn’t say he had shoulder injuries, rather I said shoulder issues. It’s not like they voluntarily shut him down like they did this year. Shoulder fatigue is an “issue.”
  9. Rams started this last year. Green Bay and a few others picked up on the trend this year and now the Bears too.
  10. From CBS Sports, 9/5/17 Cease was scratched from his playoff start for Low-A Kannapolis on Tuesday due to shoulder fatigue, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports. This move is supposedly just a precaution, and Cease is expected to participate in the instructional league. If he can indeed report to camp next year without any arm injuries, then 2017 will be seen as a huge success for the hard-throwing righty, who was the second returning prospect in the trade that sent Jose Quintana to the Cubs. Cease has a 3.28 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 126 strikeouts in 93.1 innings across the two Low-A affiliates. Sadly, those 93.1 innings easily establish a new season high for the 21-year-old.
  11. Next to no starters playing tomorrow for the Bears. Thank f***ing god
  12. Moncada is... challenging... to watch at the moment.
  13. Lopez has been so underwhelming lately. He seems like a likeable guy with leadership capabilities but I’m not sure he’ll ever be a TOR guy.
  14. He was shut down with shoulder issues less than a year ago.
  15. I saw one of his games at GRF. He hit an absolute bomb.
  16. Yeah, by all accounts he's kind of a jackass but whatever. Be a workhorse #1 and shit gets forgotten.
  17. In one of the tweets, according to the Sun Times, he used the N word. Pussification!
  18. That's so subjective. Let's see the screenshots of them and we can all decide on our own if it's "pussification" or not.
  19. Week 1 is not in doubt. Saturday vs. KC is in doubt. Nagy said if this was the regular season, he would be practicing.
  20. Could it be as simple as starting May 1 every year and reducing the season to ~142 games?
