  1. He can’t hit in the cold and can’t hit tough LHP. Wonderful.
  2. 48 degrees = “this weather?” Ugh just stop. Here’s to hoping every postseason game he pitches for the team in 2020 and on is in a dome or a warm weather city.
  3. Moving Moncada down in the lineup is the cherry on top of this lazy, boring, & most importantly bad team managed by this dope
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 18, 2018 -> 08:07 PM) You mean majors You mean baseball, in general
  5. I probably would have put Avi in to PH there but what do I know
  6. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 18, 2018 -> 07:17 PM) Game now at 5 hours old. Not quite
  7. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 18, 2018 -> 06:31 PM) I do like the new base stealing Sox, but a steal of third wasn't really necessary there. If the ball is ripped right to an outfielder, it’s absolutely necessary
  8. Not sure who’s out there in LF but that play was dogs***
  9. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 18, 2018 -> 06:26 PM) doesn't help that Fulmer wet the bed again. He’s terrible
  10. What’s the point of having Jones if he’s not going to come in the game in a 2 run contest?
  11. Volstad was pitching too well or what? Great decision taking him out
  12. The only good news regarding the team being complete s*** is that I'll continue to be able to get tickets 9 rows behind the dugout for $8/ticket a few hours before first pitch.
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 04:05 PM) I’d take Roquan Smith if he?€™s there. No need to make this so difficult. You may be able to even trade down a few spots and get him. It’s difficult because he’s pretty small. Sideline to sideline, he’s great, but he was a mess in college when the OL got to the second level.
  14. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 02:55 PM) Would Edmunds be able to play edge in the 3-4 scheme? I'd love to have him and Vander esch both. Supposedly LVE's neck is f***ed. Rumors swirled yesterday that he's off of most teams' boards. I think Edmunds can play EDGE although he never has. I guess the assumption is his athleticism and Fangio's coaching will eventually get him to be successful there. IMO, he's best inside and roaming all over, similar to Anthony Barr.
  15. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 02:53 PM) I dont know why you would have to be drafted in the top 10 to be a cant miss process. Jason Heyward for example wouldn't fit that criteria but he was definitely cant miss. Same for Trout. Albert Pujols wasn't cant-miss!
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 10:19 AM) Everyone seems to be guaranteeing Nelson is Hutchinson. No one knows whether that will be true or not and there is a lot more risk projecting olinemen than there was 10 years ago. College blocking schemes differ so much now from the pro game that there is a lot more guesswork in the projection to the NFL. That said, if Nelson ended up being Hutchinson, I'd take that out of the #8 pick all day and every day. That's exactly it for me. I keep hearing how Nelson is a sure thing, but tons of guys were sure things before they ended up busting. All of these guys are a risk. I'm taking my chance on a risk at a more important position. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 09:12 AM) Well, it helps that we have his former O-line coach for that. But if Hiestand is as good as they say he is, they don't need a guy like Nelson.
  17. QUOTE (Footlongcomiskeydog @ Apr 14, 2018 -> 04:59 PM) This Albies kid looks like he is going to be a special player. He is only 21 and already looks light years ahead of Moncada. Albies had better coaching as a youngster... nope, he’s from Curacao Albies is used to the cold... oops, that’s right, he’s from Curacao He’s a bit older... nah, he’s even younger than Moncada These things are the reasons why I’m sick of the excuses for Moncada. Guys in his exact situation are playing well. It’ll come soon to YM, I hope.
