  1. Anderson is playing with LOADS of confidence, and it’s fun as hell
  2. QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Apr 5, 2018 -> 03:56 PM) Did Hawk forget about Mike Trout in his top 4 AL hitters in past 50 years? He named Manny, Miguel Cab, Albert Pujols (wasn't really AL, Hawk, come on now), and Frank Thomas. Lol He also forgot about the best- Alex Rodriguez
  3. What’s a good extension offer for Yolmer? 5/30? Is that too much?
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 5, 2018 -> 03:26 PM) Shields stinks IMO. We need a pop up here. Or deep fly out to CF. I’d say he stinks in everyone’s opinion, Greg.
  5. Not a fan of Hawk but f*** it was good seeing him and hearing him
  6. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 08:21 PM) He has some cutler-esque body language when things go wrong Pro athlete mad at himself when he has a s***ty throw/at bat/shot. How dare he. Smile more Yoan!
  7. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 08:13 PM) it's coming at the expense of leury getting more experience out there and regular at bats too. pull the plug man. he's just not a starting mlb cf. I mean what good is speed if you never get on base & while it helps you get to the ball defensively you can’t catch?
  8. QUOTE (Wanne @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 07:39 PM) I bet Gibbons was asking about Moncada running past Engels.... He only ran by him after Engel went back to 1st after an out was signaled. That’s not the fault of the hitter
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 07:37 PM) Moncada just missed a three run homer by inches...not the greatest luck so far, the weather conspired against him the first game. At least he got the hit, showed the oppo power. Castillo, pull your head out of your a&* on the basepaths. It would have been a grand slam, no?
  10. QUOTE (Jack Parkman @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 04:05 PM) Ever heard of twilight? It lasts quite a while near the Summer Solstice. Alright man, you're right. Last year in June, you needed shade at 9:30 pm. Whatever you say.
  11. QUOTE (Jack Parkman @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 03:20 PM) Yes, but I went on like 6/21 and it wasn't even dark until 9:45. The sun sets in the summer at 8:30...
  12. QUOTE (Jack Parkman @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 02:10 PM) How many times do I have to say it isn't just early spring weather that is annoying. I find midsummer equally annoying. If you have read the Filibuster and Slam you'd know that I am autistic, and am hypersensitive to heat. I can't touch a hot plate out of the microwave or drink hot coffee. I have to eat my food slightly above room temperature, otherwise I burn myself. I went to a game where at 10 PM it hadn't got below 90 degrees last year and it was absolutely miserable, despite having a good shady seat. I'd rather sit in the cold and bundle up than go on a 90+ degree day or evening. This would solve that problem too. I love baseball and go to 5-10 games a year, but most are in May, early June, late August and early September because that is most comfortable for me. Some people hate 85+ degree F weather and I am one of them. If I could afford to live in San Diego it would be the easiest no brainer ever. There has to be other people who hate hot weather too, right? At 10 PM, isn't every seat in the shade?
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 09:33 AM) Are any other Bears fans sorta unexcited about this draft? Like there's one scenario where it goes great (Chubb), then probably good (Fitzpatrick), then okay, I guess (Nelson), then well if we have to (Smith, Edmunds). Add to that the Bears are once again not the "fulcrum" pick. Though there are teams that are keen to trade up, the bears are not the team ahead of teams that people worry about. Boring. If the Bears get Fitzpatrick, Chubb, Barkley, Edmunds, Ward, or Davenport, I'd be happy. Nelson's great but taking a guard that high is ridiculous. I'd much rather trade down to 11 (for that + a 3rd), to 12 (for that + a 2nd or two 3rds) or to 23 (for that, 31 + a 2nd). Unlike years past, the Bears aren't in a draft where there's X good players and they're picking at X+1. This year, there are 5-6 non-QB blue chip guys, and they are at 8, with 4 teams in front of them who could pick a QB.
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 10:09 AM) Wow, Rams are All In, they have added some real talent Not disagreeing that Cooks is talented, but he's now been unwanted by Sean Payton and Bill Belichick. That screams "something's up" to me. Furthermore, Cooks produces more, but Watkins is a far more dangerous, and unless the Rams sign him to an extension, they could have had Watkins for 1 year (tag), just as they'll have Cooks. I'd be psyched if I was a Rams fan, but this team will be depleted in 3-4 years. Donald, Goff, and Gurley will all get paid, and it'll almost be impossible to keep guys like Peters, Cooks, Kupp, Higbee and Everett in the fold, but hey, win a championship or two and no one will care.
  15. According to my weather.com app, the snow/rain is going to stop around 4:30-5 tomorrow, so there might be a delay but I can see them playing eventually.
  16. For those who say he defers too much: he's a handicapped man who's never played baseball in his life most likely, calling a professional game with a former Cy Young winner. I'm *glad* he defers. Why should I give a s*** what Benetti thinks of a certain play, player, or situation? I love watching baseball, and I love laughing. If I can do both at the same time behind 2 great voices, one of which might be the best analyst in the game, I'm in.
  17. Sanchez was great in 2016, horrible last year and had a rough start to 2018. Let's force his bad stretch one more start at least.
  18. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 3, 2018 -> 08:29 PM) That wasn't close Boston. He was out. I guess I’d argue that it was close but out he was
