  1. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 7, 2016 -> 08:11 PM) Lesnar opponent for Summerslam being announced tonight on Smackdown. Hopefully rumors are true that it's Randy Orton. So great, another Lesnar PPV opponent where there's no build up yet every fan is supposed to be looking forward to it. Woo hoo. And I say this as a huge Orton fan. I would have rather seen him come out and surprise us by costing someone the match like an Ambrose, Styles, etc.
  2. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jul 7, 2016 -> 06:45 PM) Feel free. If I feel the questions are too personal and they make me uncomfortable, I'll let you know. Thanks! I just sent it
  3. I have a 3rd interview with a financial firm 5 days from today. I have to get 60 people to fill out an 8-question survey prior to the 3rd interview. I have about 20 completed. Would anyone be interested in letting me PM them with a quick 8 questions? It'd be appreciated! EDIT: I know the perception is since it's a financial firm that 1. it's a scam to get personal info and 2. i'm going to ask questions about your personal financial situations. 1. I'm really doing this and 2. there's nothing in there about anything money related.
  4. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 7, 2016 -> 08:33 AM) Stan Bowman was out watching Vesey yesterday. Swoop him in Stan! Vesey-Toews-Hossa Panarin-Anisomov-Kane Panik-Kruger Schmaltz Desjardins-Rasmussen-Hartman Tootoo, Mashinter Vesey seems like a real tool. He wanted out of Nashville and he refused to talk with Buffalo. He has a load of talent but he seems like a real piece of work. Panik Toews Schmaltz Panarin Anisimov Kane Hinostroza Motte Hossa Desjardins Kruger Hartmann Mashinter/Tootoo/Rasmussen I still could see them trying to deal Kruger in which case sub Ras for him.
  5. Rodon has a chance still to be a good pitcher. Avi Garcia, on the other hand, is dogs***.
  6. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 11:47 PM) Happens in sports. It sucks but price ya pay for winning. I'd take it all day everyday. I have seen the Pens win two cups and wouldn't trade it (unless I could trade them for a Chiefs Super Bowl ). In the NFL, the Ravens had their team ripped apart twice IIRC, the Broncos this season lost some key players (as Bears fans, y'all know) as well. Take the championships and roll on boys. You saw three of them recently. Also, Dave Bolland wouldn't even make the team. He's turned out to be horrible. But I do agree on the championships. I'd gladly take 3 World Series' or 3 Super Bowls in 7 years if it meant they had to get rid of young, up and coming players.
  7. BTW, good for Stamkos staying in Tampa. He could have gotten a deal like Kane's or Toews' in Toronto, Detroit or Buffalo but he stayed where he can win right away. In today's day and age we like to criticize guys for leaving for the spotlight in a big time city for more money, but Stamkos didn't do any of that. It's also fun to watch all of the Canadian media cry about it, as if everyone's supposed to bow down to Babcock, Shanahan and the Leafs. Enjoy Kris Russell
  8. Campbell has already followed Dan Haren, Toews, the Hawks, etc on twitter. It's all but done.
  9. Florida's lead beat writer tweets that he as well as the Panthers believe Campbell is headed back to Chicago
  10. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jun 27, 2016 -> 11:41 PM) That's what I try to tell people who are emotionally invested in Shaw. It's not THAT hard to replace an attitude, and that's what Shaw was. That's what Hartman is. I'm not a huge Shaw fan, but I'd much rather have him for 3.9 than Kruger for 3.1, because while it's easy to find a 3rd line guy who can notch you 15 goals and 20 assists, it's even easier to find a 4th line guy who gets you nothing offensively and kills penalties.
  11. Frazier grew up in New Jersey, no? I don't think he's a "farm boy." Getting to the point though, yes he does suck. Apparently Stone said he laughed it off the other day by saying "I may have 50 homers and 10 doubles." Hilarious!
  12. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 25, 2016 -> 12:09 PM) DeBrincat falling into the Hawks lap is outstanding. Is he the one that had 101 goals over the last 2 years, including one year when he played on McDavid's line?
  13. The guys on NHL Network really like the Mathias From pick that the Hawks made in the 5th round today.
  14. QUOTE (Wanne @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 09:39 PM) lol....yeah I believe Arizona is also paying Pronger's deal. Go 3/3 and acquire Lecavalier's rights too!
  15. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 08:48 PM) To get to the cap floor And to get Jakob Chychrun, who last year was in the top 3 of most NHL mocks.
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 08:22 PM) Pavel Datsyuk traded to Arizona. Let's leave it at that and ignore the other facts. The other fact here is that Detroit just unloaded a huge contract and pushed their cap space to $19m, and they are going to make a serious run at Steven Stamkos.
  17. Brian Elliott has been traded from the Blues to the Flames
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 06:37 PM) Your 2nd line answers your question. Montreal still seems to overly concern itself with grit and toughness. Exactly. Craig Button said it's a pointless trade by MTL because they need skill, and Shaw's play is too much like every other Hab.
  19. Why in the world would a team give up 2 top 50 picks for Andrew Shaw? He will have some fun in those B's/Habs games
  20. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 22, 2016 -> 07:36 PM) Dude, f***ing relax. To be fair he has been pretty average now over his last 8 starts.
  21. O/U: 2.5 runs of run support tonight for Quintana? I'm saying under. Sox lose 3-2 in 12.
  22. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Jun 21, 2016 -> 01:36 PM) Hopefully the coldest city available Oh please. No MLB team has a minor league squad in Antarctica. It's late June. Where is it cold? He will be fine. Bogaerts grew up in Aruba and does just fine in Boston. Abreu is from Cuba. How has Vegas' Kris Bryant done with the Cubs?
  23. Did anyone last night that New Day mentioned "skeet" and then Big E made the universal "jerking off" sign? I'm kind of surprised more isn't being made of it.
  24. QUOTE (Tony @ Jun 21, 2016 -> 02:15 PM) Seeing as the Pens just won the Cup with a 22 year old netminder, I don't see that being a fit. I don't think he meant to Pittsburgh. I think he's just implying that they would have to trade Crawford to anyone. However, I wouldn't deal Crawford. They can't win with Darling. I doubt this trade happens, but if it does, I fear Kane will be involved. I said last offseason that the Hawks probably had enough, and this would give them a reason to get him out of town. I hope not; he is the best player in hockey right now. If Kane's not involved, I think the names to watch would be Panarin and Anisimov.
  25. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 21, 2016 -> 12:21 PM) You do realize if the season ended today, Jose Quintana would be the AL Cy Young award winner? As in, the actual Cy Young award voted on by the people who have votes that count, or another Cy Young award winner? Because there would be no way he would win the actual Cy Young if the season ended now.
