  1. But seriously Sands just hit for Schuck. Talk about s*** for s***
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 05:28 PM) If Eaton's hurt, the season is really in jeopardy. Great play by Coats, though...hard situation with it right between them. Coats cut his lip it seems. Eaton's in RF, isn't he?
  3. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 05:28 PM) Please answer me the question of just how sale not being sgarpvtoday is Robin's fault? If I knew what "sgarpvtoday" was I may be able to answer
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 05:25 PM) Trade him to Boston for their hitting prospects and find out Some day they'll do this. It'll likely be 3 years and a TJ Surgery too late, but they'll do it. I do think that if this isn't a playoff year, they have to at least test the market. They've had Sale and Quintana at their best now for a year (maybe 2, if this year ends well), and it's gotten them nowhere. Build a real farm system.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 05:15 PM) Robertson and Melky should be on the block come end of July Shields, too.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 05:08 PM) Jay Bruce probably cost you two times the prospect value for what you could have got him at three months ago Whoever. Anyone. Seems like Hahn's betting on Anreu and so far, fart. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 05:09 PM) You mean the lineup with J.B. Shuck batting 5th & Jimmy Rollins DHing?!
  7. QUOTE (kapzk @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 05:04 PM) Chris Sale getting outdueled by Pelfrey To be fair, the lineup Pelfrey's facing is significantly worse, but hey trade for another pitcher, Hahn!
  8. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 02:10 PM) Read the first few pages of this thread, many posters were against the idea I read the first 3 pages. Hardly anyone was against it because of his ability. Instead it was more about money. In fact, you even listed the rotation and said that it "looks a hell of a lot better than what we currently have"
  9. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 01:55 PM) His ERA was actually 3.06 before his last start. Which is why I said before his last start, no one would have said he's cooked.
  10. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 01:46 PM) I'm not going to feel good about this unless the Sox give up next to nothing. Shields is showing a lot of signs that he's cooked. If his last start wasn't as bad as it was, would you be saying that? He had a bad start. It happens. Every other game this season that he's pitched, he's always less than 4 runs with the exception of two (four each game). Is he the same pitcher he was 3 years ago? Obviously not. No one gets younger, but "cooked" is harsh.
  11. Rosenthal says talks are heating up. SD has been scouting the Sox farm system. Supposedly the Sox have made a "compelling" offer
  12. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) Falls apart under pressure Well yeah. That and he's just bad in general
  13. Why does he even have Purke warming up? Martinez hits about 100 points better vs RHP's. Does Robin have any f***ing clue or no?
  14. Coats is hitting .335? Holy s***. Perhaps it's more than an aberration. Maybe he's actually a real prospect.
  15. QUOTE (klaus kinski @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 03:33 PM) These guys ego to big to use lighter bat that is what should be tried here
  16. A lot of talk about Abreu's season, but Eaton's been terrible for awhile now, too. If those two continue to not hit, they're in trouble.
  17. Now Abreu's hitting 2nd and Lawrie's hitting 5th
  18. Make that- 5 pitches in and Robertson's already thrown as many offspeed pitches as he did against KC
  19. 3 pitches in and Robertson's already thrown half of the offspeed pitches he threw vs KC
  20. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 31, 2016 -> 07:00 PM) Nothing of value, this is still the White Sox, but the thing about playing the Mets in NY (and making Harvey look resurgent) is the national attention that draws. Lots of people are wondering how the Sox, riding so high a couple weeks ago, look so bad now. Hahn is the one they really want to protect. That's my point. I hope you're right, I've just seen this movie before.
  21. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 31, 2016 -> 06:53 PM) Ventura isnt going to be with the team when they leave NY. The bad decisions are one thing but this team has obviously given up on the season because of one blown lead in Texas a few weeks ago. Cant have that, there's still time to salvage the season but the longer Ventura stays at the helm the more that light dims. Ventura may be #family, but Hahn is Circle of Trust, and they will gladly let Ventura fall on his sword to keep a senior member of the Circle like Hahn insulated. What would you like to wager that he's still the manager on Thursday?
