  2. Germany Now Backs Regime Change in Iraq
  3. I don't see JR willing to pay for anything. We'll have to agree to disagree.
  4. A torture chamber equipped with hooks hanging from ceilings and an on-site electrocution room has been found in the basement of an Iraqi police station, an embedded reporter with the BBC reports.
  5. No matter, the point is that they have to get a lot up front. 3 million a year won't cut it.
  6. Yeah, I wouldn't want you to have to charge the field and pound on Manuel.
  7. To prepare for the large crowds expected on Opening Day (Friday, April 4), the Chicago White Sox are making the following recommendations to fans with tickets to the game: Tailgating is permitted in parking lots A-F from two hours before game time until the first pitch. Gates to the ballpark will open two hours before game time. Fans are urged to utilize public transportation. The CTA Red Line stops near the ballpark at 35th Street. Because of various road construction projects in the city and suburbs, fans are encouraged to arrive early. Fans with reserved parking coupons should follow the directions on the coupon. Parking coupons should be displayed prominently as fans approach the ballpark. Fans intending to drive to the ballpark and find cash parking should follow directional signs to available lots. Traffic updates are available on 1620 AM. Due to the large crowd expected, fans will only be allowed access to the level in which their seats are located. This policy will be in effect to avoid overloading restroom facilities and concession stands on the 100-level. In addition, Major League Baseball and the White Sox have established the following guidelines for the safety and enjoyment of guests attending White Sox games at U.S. Cellular Field in 2003: Guests may bring in food in small, clear (see-through) plastic bags. One sealed plastic bottle of water, one liter or less in size, will be permitted per person. For guests with children, sealed juice boxes are permitted. Bags 16” x 16” x 8” and smaller will be permitted. No bags larger than that size will be allowed. All bags will be searched. Briefcase and bag check facilities will not be available. Bottles, cans and other beverages or hard-sided coolers of any kind will not be permitted. “The safety and comfort of our guests is always our top priority,” said Terry Savarise, White Sox vice president of stadium operations. “There are no facilities to check items here at the ballpark, so we recommend that fans leave behind all containers and bags that do not meet these guidelines. We appreciate their understanding and cooperation.
  8. The Chicago White Sox announced the following pregame festivities for the team’s home opener at U.S. Cellular Field on Friday: Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, a native of Chicago who was sworn in as the state’s 40th Governor on January 13, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch; Staff Sgt. Kelly Grant-Ramstack of the United Air Force Band of Mid-America will sing the National Anthem, as well as God Bless America at the seventh inning stretch; The colors will be presented by the Joint Service Color Guard, representing all branches of the Armed Forces; A fireworks barrage and the release of 5,000 red, white and blue balloons will follow the National Anthem; In celebration of the 74th All-Star Game, former White Sox All-Stars Harold Baines, Britt Burns, Chico Carrasquel, Ed Farmer, Joel Horlen, Ron Kittle, Jim Landis, Carlos May, Jack McDowell, Bill Melton, Minnie Minoso, Bill Pierce and Bill Skowron will be honored during a pregame ceremony.
  9. Well it all depends on how much they can get up front. So while the deal was for 68 million or whatever it was, all they may get is 30 million now. And no construction group is going to have JR on a payment plan.
  10. Way to early to tell. He'll get till late May, early June.
  11. Hmmm. I'm not sure what to say to that. Mario will have to address that, I'm not sure what kinda of deal it was he cut with the Insiders.
  12. I don't believe it was made by anyone who works here. Unless I'm totally off confused, that will be the new board. I'm told the look will be different, but again, Jason has to answer that question.
  13. I can't address all the questions since I don't have all the information. Mario or Jason will have something to say about that. Mario has said all along that there will not be ANY kind of fee on his sites. So while I have not seen the said monthly fee page, I can assure you no money will be needed.
  14. Yeah you have to re-register.
  15. Even though I kinda work here, I'm not positive, so Jason will have to back me on this, but that's the new message board. Soxtalk will be kept up but you won't be able to post.
  16. I should add, I was kinda wondering why Jose wasn't in their to bunt. But please, if you can't get a bunt down, get off the field.
  17. As for the 0-2 start, it's no big deal, but when you have Buehrle and Colon on the hill and you can't win, it drives you nuts.
  18. Red, Josh Paul has been giving catching tips at Soxfest the past few years.
  19. I thought some of his moves today where odd, but I don't think he cost the Sox the game.
  20. I didn't see this coming, but I guess with Steff and HSC, I should've known what this thread would turn into.
  21. Yeah that's cable. Well, the sports packages are on digital cable. Most of the "black boxes" I've seen only have 2 digits as opposed to the 3 that digital cable has.
  22. In my sig? I'm not in that photo, that's from Maxim Magazine. If HSC takes photos of opening day and the tailgate I'll put it up here.
