  1. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 20, 2007 -> 10:25 PM) Ian...you are gonna love the show. I don't think I've ranted this much in a year. I haven't ranted since my infamous phone call to you at the trade deadline, I'm pretty calm now. I can only hope it's filled with Bears bashing. O-Line, Turner, and the rest of the garbage they've been trotting out on the field. I didn't hear the show, but I can only assume the Bulls get a major tongue lashing as well. I was thinking about the show today on my break at work, I hope you didn't bring up your Konerko to the Angels ideas. You've been talking about the Sox dealing Thome or Konerko to the Halos for a few years and it never happens. WHAT THE HELL MAN? So, I'm looking forward to the show~!
  2. QUOTE(29andPoplar @ Nov 20, 2007 -> 08:06 PM) If anyone would have insight on Foley, it would be Rozner, who sometimes can't be trusted because of his friendships and vendettas. Rozner was right on about McDonough though, he floated the idea six weeks ago. Rozner is very tight with Billy Gardner and also knows Foley quite well but I do not know if the two are friends or if they are just fellow media guys. I do know McDonough is tight with Don Levin, owner of the Wolves, and he also has had contact with Foley the last few years. Yeah, Barry has been spot on with his Hawk 'scoops the last few months. He's floated Foley' name out there a few times in the past month or so.
  3. Florida crowds blow. If this Y2J deal was in Philly, MSG, or Chicago, it would've been 1000 times better.
  4. I'm watching Raw via TIVO... Folks, Bob Holly is on my screen in 2007. This would be like Chris Snopeck starting at 3rd for the Sox in 08. The guy was never drew a f***ing dime, and he's boring as all hell and the crowd dies when he comes out. The best moment of the Bob Holly era was when he tried to be a hard ass with Brock, and he got dropped right on his head for his trouble.
  5. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Nov 19, 2007 -> 08:56 PM) Yeah it really is too bad, although who would even have value at this point? If ever there was a case for "blow it up", it's that team, but I'll stick to baseball here. I'm very interested to see what they have planned for the lead-off spot. It's great to have such a good hitter in the 2 spot, but we need someone on in front of Orlando.
  6. QUOTE(PAUL KONERKO 14 @ Nov 19, 2007 -> 08:53 PM) Our plan=to get Torii Kedar Hunter I'm very fine with that, I'd be fine with Jones as well. As others have said, I think we're in store for a few surprises from Kenny this off-season.
  7. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Nov 19, 2007 -> 08:48 PM) I like it too. I'm surprised hearing that from you Willie. Sadly we couldn't package any of the sorry ass Bulls in the trade.
  8. QUOTE(PAUL KONERKO 14 @ Nov 19, 2007 -> 08:47 PM) Well who doesn't value an admin's opinion? LOL. I've been here forever, thus my admin status. I'm not any smarter than anyone else in these threads. I couldn't tell you what half of the stats out there now mean or how they are calculated. I just look at the trade, and understand they've got a plan, and we'll see how well it comes together.
  9. I'm sure nobody cares, but I like the trade. Carry on.
  10. I knew I should have went tonight. Sounds like a pretty good sized crowd, and the Hawks are all over St. Louis. Hawks up 3-1 in the 2nd.
  11. I listened to this show last night, but for the life of me I can't remember anything about it. But, I'm sure it was another great show!
  12. There's a lot of issues, yes. So, you are correct. However, it's also November. Lets see who is on the roster come March, and then we can address these issues.
  13. QUOTE(RudyLawRules @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 10:41 PM) He was just on WMVP and said it would take Danks, Gio, Broadway and Fields to land Cabrera. Interesting. So, we'd have Buehrle, Javy, Count, Floyd, maybe Garland as the starters? I think I'd make that trade.
  14. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 10:27 PM) I don't have as big of a beef with Levine as others do, but I wouldn't be surprised if Bruce had never heard of DLS.... What is Bruce throwing out there now?
  15. Quite the 3rd period thus far. Hawks we're up 1-0, gave up 2 goals within minutes, then Toews with the goal to even it up.
  16. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 09:47 PM) I hear your chicken fingers are almost ready, let me go check on those for you..... And he STOLE~! my money. What a dick.
  17. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 09:24 PM) Maybe Bill had a point. I was thinking about going Sunday, but now I might just stay home because it's on TV.... I can't afford another $100 between the 200 level seats, parking and my chicken fingers and vodka..
  18. QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 08:14 AM) You shouldn't sound so proud to be merely average. AIM HIGHER, SHOW!!!! You going Friday night? Afraid not. My next game is the 30th.
  19. QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 5, 2007 -> 01:13 PM) ...jinx... I've been at the Detroit, Dallas, Atlanta, and Nashville game. So, like the Hawks, I'm .500
  20. I was at tonight's game with Tony and it was not a good effort this evening. Team didn't seem to have any jump in them at all. There we're a few horrible calls tonight, but the Hawks just looked very poor this evening. They wanted to go 6-2 in this 8 game stretch, they've got some work to do. Kudos to Lalime for his effort tonight, I was surprised he didn't start the game tonight.
  21. I'll be there tonight, hopefully they'll come out strong.
