  1. Well, when they show me they'll actually go out and bring in someone, I'll add a number 2. I don't trust them.
  2. I'm thinking the Sox's rotation for next year is.... 1) Buehrle 2) Garland 3) Wright 4) Ritchie 5) Rauch 6) Foulke (half-closer) 7) Marte (half-closer) 8) Glover 9) Biddle 10) Osuna 11) Porzio
  3. I like him to, but the Sox may not have him with the club in April. You seem to be the under the impression that it's a done deal he's on the club. I think if anyone gets on, who didn't last year, it's Simas.
  4. Foulke and Thomas would be a nice combo.
  5. You may not see Valentine start with the club in 2003. Your vision of the team is probably very different than Williams' vision.
  6. Yeah that was a home game on the other night. Fox Sports Net, had it written in their contract that they get to do X amount of pre-season games, and choose to put a home game on. Wirtz couldn't do anything about it.
  7. Well, you'd have to give him the closing job to sign him long-term. And with Ring and others waiting, that won't happen. I just don't think you can get a good starter for Foulke.
  8. I think Rauch will be in the pen if he's even on the staff.
  9. The Hawks home games are not on tv. All the away games are. If Doub would be home on the nights their on, he could see one.
  10. I think that's because your never home. Their one 41 nights a year at least.
  11. Backman said today on the Score that Olivo should be starting in Chicago in 2003. I doubt they'll rush him though.
  12. We're weak in the pitching department because they won't spend the money. They love their prospects, and whether you like it or not, they'll make out the pitching staff. The defense is way better now with Durhams' ass out of town.
  13. As of now Reinsdorf has the final say on ANY move he makes. Williams had Thomas dealt to Boston for 3 minor leaguers and JR killed the deal because stock holders threatened to sell if Thomas wasn't here. That's why Williams is on a short leash. There's a real power struggle going on.
  14. Your missing the point. He's not going to be with the team after this season.
  15. Are you still on this? They won less games because the guys who got them off to that fast start in 2000 we're bad. Eldred and Baldwin we're hurt and Thomas went down early. End of discusion. Jesus, it's like everyone who talks about why the '69 Cubs choked. It's over now.
  16. Teams could move easier if the anti-trust got taken away. The whole point is moot since the D-Backs will find someone to give them some cash.
  17. No pressure at that time. I'd like to see him gone before he walks after this season. Because believe me, if he's the closer in 2003 and gets 40 saves or something like that, he'll want big bucks and with Almonte and crew Keith will be gone.
  18. I do joke, but they bomb. So I try to stay serious.
  19. True. But baseball won't let it happen. See how their running the Expos. It would be a disaster if a team was allowed to go bankrupt. You know those boobs running baseball would screw up the drafting process and Johnson would end up in NY.
  20. Don't worry Reinsy has pulled in his leash. Any deals he makes have to go through Reinsy now.
  21. No contraction was apart of the new CBA. They'll be around, just won't be good.
