  1. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 15, 2007 -> 08:23 PM) Day hurt Happy now? I think you put the pin in your Dewon Day voodoo doll.
  2. Heads it's up to you and I to carry this site. You don't like Day or Andy? How can you be a member of the FS staff? For shame... SUP?
  3. Well, what can be said? At the very least Kenny and crew should see the team needs some major changes.
  4. Sorta quiet tonight. I don't like the red uniforms of the Pirates.
  5. I wanted to say this earlier but I forgot, Uribe shouldn't be hitting higher than Fields.
  6. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 15, 2007 -> 06:21 PM) Not only a first inning hit, but even a first inning lead. WOW! I feel weird about them winning.
  7. I'm here allllll by mysellllllffffff 1-0 Sox
  8. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 15, 2007 -> 12:46 AM) No way. I can't really ever imagine myself married. Though maybe if things had worked out differently that night... We're friends now, which would have seemed strange at the time. I don't think I've ever had so much to drink as I did in that three day weekend. Between the wedding and drowning my sorrows for 2 straight days, I'm surprised I didn't end up in a hospital with Alcohol poisoning. And, I'm deleting the previous post. It doesn't need to be on the internet for all to see. I don't air dirty laundry. That was out of character. Ah, well good to hear it wasn't you.
  9. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 06:09 PM) So if the Sox lose both the Pirates and Cubs series can the firesale begin? It should already be underway. I think it'll be mid July before it starts.
  10. Why the hell am I just now seeing these sorts of quotes? First the Cleveland quote and now this one. Someone find me more stuff like this...
  11. With the way they are playing right now, if they win 6 of the 20 I'd be shocked.
  12. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 05:33 PM) I will try to keep this as clean as I can, but it will be hard. My ex-fiancee a liar, a cheat, and it turns out a demon from hell was banging her boss, probably everyone else also. She stole some money from me. ***TIP TO ALL*** Make sure that you make your financial decisions based on sanity, not how flexible or depraved your fiancee is. Well after catching her in the act, I found out that she had stolen a good amount of money. So I hatched this plan, of trying to get my money back. I would pretend to be with her, and then act nice and convince her to get my money back. Stupid yes, but with a funny ending. After a month of being nice I realized that the demon wasn't going to give me my money without legal help. So I hatched a good plan to give her a romantic day of fun. I took her to the lake, we had a romantic picnic and the day was very nice. I took her home, and told her I still loved her and wanted her to be the mother of my children. She was touched. Very touched it seemed. I fended off the sex, talk about hard to do, but I was worried about the slim chance of pregnancy. So she still wanted to take care of me, and she did. And in her blinded state(you figure out why) afterwards, I told her that I was leaving. She screamed, and stumbled trying to get her vision back, you had me do that dirty act and then you told me you wanted to break up. I laughed and said well, I had to remember you for what you are. A foul and dirty whore. It was very appropriate the state I had left her. I told her she had until 5 o'clock tomorrow to get her s*** out or I was having it sold. She wound up marrying some goof after 2 months of dating him. It took me a while after to find someone worth trusting. Now it's clear why you want to fire Walker, you don't understand how a family works.
  13. QUOTE(vandy125 @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 04:13 PM) ^^^^ That was the first thing my mind jumped to. I enjoy watching Terrero play right now. Will he still be around? I'd think if Erstad is back this weekend either Owens or Gonzalez will go back to AAA.
  14. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 03:29 PM) That's a sick idea...I still have a BMac jersey to get re-lettered. What a sweet birthday present. Dec. 23, BMac traded mid afternoon, Willie receivers BMac jersey that night. That just seems to be how your life goes.
  15. You we're the one getting married, Cheat?
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 02:44 PM) Neither do I but that wasn't the question. s***.
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 02:38 PM) I wouldn't, Erstad's only going to end up playing around 3 months this year atleast with Anderson you have some upside and relative health. Well, after listening to Gage I don't think we're going to see Anderson again.
  18. FIRST~! Nice to hear you admit that you we're wrong, Gager. In fact we need a thread listing all the times you we're wrong. Someone get going on that... I'm not shocked by the SCOOP~! you dropped with Anderson requesting to be dealt. However, I think people are going to be really surprised by the lack of action this team has at the deadline. I don't foresee Kenny making a lot of deals like you guys we're discussing.
  19. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 13, 2007 -> 05:16 PM) Yeah, well, that's always going to be true. Not only with those suggesting Buehrle could have received more, but the crowd who may have held out hope the Sox could contend the second half/Buehrle would resign. I think by the time Mark is dealt, it'll be quite clear this team is finished. I'm sure there are people out there like myself are foolish enough to think they can trade Mark and then sign him back in the off-season. As for what they receive back in a trade, I'm sure it'll be less than what people are expecting.
  20. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 13, 2007 -> 05:07 PM) What, no faith in management? I don't follow the minor leagues much myself, so I don't know who is good. I'm looking forward to it, because I foresee people not being happy no matter what goes down.
  21. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 13, 2007 -> 04:38 PM) I don't care how unlikely it is. Williams requires a tremendous haul for Buehrle if we're looking towards the immediate future with any optimism. Don't think it's possible other teams will give up top talent? Too bad. Then he needs for his scouts to identify talent in the lower levels of opposing teams. Again, I've set the expectations high and I'm not stepping down. No excuses. This will be grand..
  22. I'm all for discussion, but these types of threads need to go.
  23. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 13, 2007 -> 02:58 PM) Mark's issue will likely be (maybe already is...) years. I'd assume the Sox would offer 3, maybe I could see 4 and then club/player options. Suppose logic would indicate he'd want 5 guaranteed and then options.
