  1. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:47 PM) Madden 07 for the Wii is pimp. I just got the Wii. Why is Madden on the Wii so sweet?
  2. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 30, 2007 -> 02:38 PM) Can someone explain to me why Noc would have to be signed-and-traded for this to work? I'm pretty oblivious to NBA contracts, so any insight would be appreciated. As far as a deal, if I'm Pax, I'm insisting on Gordon going to LA and not Deng. I'd definitely give up Thomas, but would the ninth overall also have to be included? Trades in the NBA have to be dollar for dollar. So if Kobe makes 20 million per year the Bulls need to send back players who combined make that much in particular season. In some cases depending on where you are under the cap you can trade within a certain percentage of the contracts as well. From an old Cuban blog about trades:
  3. I don't know what happened but I just wanted to say GAGED~!~!
  4. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 28, 2007 -> 10:42 PM) Tomorrow is the day he gets introduced. This will get me all the more pumped for next year. Comcast better f***ing have it live. Take it for what it is worth, but I read on the official board that they won't carry it live. Wasn't from Adam though, so the poster could've been wrong.
  5. I thought this thread would be Fathom sharing some inside dirt with us.
  6. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 28, 2007 -> 09:40 PM) It'll be nearly an hour and 45 minutes of pure awesomeness. I'll be the judge of that, youngster.
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:10 PM) This newest podcast will be something else. That hints to me that you are on it.
  8. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 27, 2007 -> 04:40 PM) Ozzie mentions post game that he's got something wrong around his legs, groin or hamstring or something....he said he didn't think it was much...but there ya go. No surprise that he is hurt. In my opinion he shouldn't even be out there if that is the case. I know guys like to tough it out, but he's not helping himself or the team with him pitching hurt.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ May 27, 2007 -> 03:10 PM) How about we just stopping bunting unless it's in the 8th inning or later? That was a situation where bunting wasn't a good idea due to who was on 2nd base. Sure, but we know that will not happen.
  10. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 27, 2007 -> 03:06 PM) I dont even know if that is walkers territory thought. I thought Cora or someone else was the bunting instructor. Bunting isnt that hard, Square around, when the ball hits the bat deaden it. If the guy is dumb and throws a breaking pitch, you can aim it then. I'm not sure myself, I just assumed Walker. Either way it's unacceptable that this continues to happen.
  11. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 27, 2007 -> 03:02 PM) Well most pitchers are taught, that when you have someone who shows you bunt way ahead of time, you throw it up and in. If they do get ahold of it, it goes straight up in the air. Seriously now, 2 years in a row with this not being able to bunt s***. I'm sure our pal Walk is on the case though.
  12. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 27, 2007 -> 03:00 PM) Wasn't it in PNC last year? I thought it switched leagues every year? Used to be that way, but now with the influx of new stadiums that's out the window.
  13. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 27, 2007 -> 02:58 PM) For some reason we think we are in the NL. It's not even that I agree/disagree with the idea of it, I just get mad that they can't do it. How hard is this?
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ May 27, 2007 -> 02:55 PM) Toby better have a perfect bunt, as he has a piano at 2nd base. OK, enough with the bunting.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ May 27, 2007 -> 02:48 PM) I think most of us always hate Javy, and it's for this reason. He just doesn't know how to win games. It's funny, I read his comments differently. The other posters we're talking about how it was like a wind aided homer. Then other folks come in saying he sucks. And I didn't see the homer but to me it's like, just bad luck on that one. Overall though, I know Javy is frustrating to watch because we all know how good he can be.
  16. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 27, 2007 -> 02:48 PM) Completely agree on everything. I enjoyed the event so damn much. Seems to be what everyone has been saying, it's a great time to be a fan of MMA. Great fights, and even better build up to the fights.
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ May 27, 2007 -> 02:41 PM) No time for replacements from our minor leagues....we need a starting LF. We've waited long enough to see if Pods would heal soon....but we know how fast Barbaro heals. Even if he did heal quick, they cannot count on him. Which, I know you know, but I'm just sayin.
  18. QUOTE(Soxy @ May 27, 2007 -> 02:25 PM) Yuck! Mine was probably better until I got food poisoning. Sounds like neither of us had the awesome b-day we desereved. I can't believe I missed this thread. I'd say hope it was a good one, but doesn't look like it was.
  19. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 27, 2007 -> 02:05 PM) It'll be Fields, Owens or Gonzalez. I suppose it could be Sweeney or Anderson too. So to sum it up, I don't know. Seriously now.. I think Owens just because Oz will want speed.
  20. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 27, 2007 -> 02:02 PM) Just reported by Hawk Horrible luck if you will, for Pablo.
  21. What's the chances they call up Owens? SPEED~!
  22. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 27, 2007 -> 01:35 PM) Kenny Perez is hurt. Ah. I don't keep up on the farm as much as I should.
  23. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 27, 2007 -> 01:32 PM) Fields at SS, Molina at 3B again for Charlotte today. Why?
  24. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ May 27, 2007 -> 12:59 PM) My thoughts exactly, I wanna see this guy fight again In a nutshell that's why UFC is smoking everyone in terms of PPV buyrates. You want to see him fight again, and you've got to pay to watch it happen. If anyone reading this thread has never seen UFC before, or has seen the hype in SI or SportsCenter as of late, this one event would hook you. Last night for me was awesome, took in the Jim Beam club for awhile, then came home and watched UFC.
  25. *bump* I was in the Jim Beam club last night. Well, for about 90 minutes I was. Everyone had to leave at around 6:45. I can't top the comments Rock made to start this thread. If you ever have the chance to get tickets get them. Just an amazing atmosphere and the view is insane. I'm not even sure what to say other than this was so damn awesome. Free food and drinks, and an awesome view. Plus I get to go back now in August, so it's like a 2-for-1 deal in my eyes. YAY~!~!~!
