  1. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 07:49 PM) Oh, I'm also predicting Pods release by the ASB. What makes you say that? Some SCOOPZ~?
  2. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 10:33 PM) I'm not sure if you guys are reading wrong, but Floyd is going to AAA. Reading is a skill I haven't mastered yet.
  3. QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 10:18 PM) So we have no long reliever? Sweet. I guess they figure Masset or Floyd would be able to eat up some innings if needed.
  4. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 10:13 PM) Just saw the report on CSN. Logan is for sure going down to AAA. Logan said he was just excited for the season to start, and didn't really matter where he was at this point, and Ozzie then confirmed he had a conversation with Logan telling him he didn't make the club. Some of the moves this spring have been so questionable, I really have decided to just take a wait and see approach with everything. Hell, I really don't even have much of a desire to post much anymore. I love Anderson, but I am so sick of the Anderson/Erstad/Pods/Ozzie bulls***, and the season hasn't even started. Sorry, that rant had nothing to do with that question, I just felt like doing it. I'm not really mad one way or the other here. I just could've swore Ozzie made it clear Logan was on the team. Either way, I feel as if the bullpen pieces will be changing a few times this season.
  5. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 09:57 PM) Is it true that Logan and Floyd are being sent down and Sisco and Aardsma made the team? I'm not a huge fan of his, but if Logan didn't make the team, what exactly does he have to do to make it? WTF? Didn't they already say Logan was on the team?
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 26, 2007 -> 09:43 PM) Well, if that was the case, then someone in the Sox organization got their story wrong. The story circulating today was that the Sox put Hall at 1st base in order to get another at-bat and to get some experience at 1st base (meaning that they planned to put him there for a few innings). My bad. I read the story to quick this morning the Daily Herald said:
  7. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 26, 2007 -> 02:07 PM) Unless, as was discussed earlier, Perez doesn't make the team (he still hasn't played since he got hurt, I believe). And Mack can't really hit lefties well. Therefore, he makes sense as an occasional start over there against LHP, if he can defend the position (which I honestly don't know if he can or not). Don't know if this was pointed out yet, as I'm only in the middle of the thread. Perez was playing 1st and his calf was hurting him, so Ozzie put Toby there.
  8. QUOTE(SnB @ Mar 25, 2007 -> 12:11 AM) ITS A LEGACY. the plan was to get it signed by joe and have it retired and framed. it didn't happen in AZ, so it must continue on. Understood.
  9. QUOTE(SnB @ Mar 24, 2007 -> 11:50 PM) tucson = a great, great time. There'll be a thread with lots of pictures later. Brian Anderson was by far the most personable and fan-friendly player on the team. No need, we saw you on tv. Please explain why your Sox hat is in such poor condition..
  10. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 23, 2007 -> 03:41 PM) I missed SNB on tv? f*** I just saw this via Tivo, he needs to do something about that hat.
  11. QUOTE(greg775 @ Mar 21, 2007 -> 08:56 PM) Does anyone think Owens/Sweeney will ever get a chance? If so, when. Owens doesn't seem like starter material. Sweeney should be a starter on the Sox next season. Whether that means Dye goes or one of Pods or Erstad, he's going to get his chance.
  12. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 21, 2007 -> 06:33 PM) That'd be terrible. I'm tired of hearing about deals involving Leiber and/or Rowand. Both are hardly better options than anything we currently have in the organization. Even if they we're better options, why the hell would they weaken the pen by taking out a guy like Mac? Especially after who they traded to get him. This a quite the silly rumor.
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 21, 2007 -> 12:30 PM) No one has even come close. He once played for the Sox. That's your clue. You're welcome. OK. This is why I don't post. These types of things drive me nuts, I waited all day to find out and I get nothing. Do I have to buy the Pay Per View to find out?
  14. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 21, 2007 -> 12:33 AM) BDavisFutureHOF = Brooks Boyer?
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 21, 2007 -> 12:30 AM) Not even close. DAMN~! You won this round, Kalapse...
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 21, 2007 -> 12:24 AM) Who am I? Morneau?
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 20, 2007 -> 10:54 PM) What's the fun in saying 'let's just wait and see' about every facet of the ballclub? That and unwavering optimism over every question mark the team has is just boring, I know I wouldn't want to read that day in and day out. Talk about a boring message board. I guess I'm boring.
  18. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 20, 2007 -> 04:35 PM) The A's guy said Masset is our 7th inning guy. SCOOPZ~!
  19. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Mar 20, 2007 -> 12:59 AM) I can't lie, it was sort of....refreshing?....to hear someone there besides Hawk for once. I know thats sacreligious and all, but DJ doing play-by-play gives him something to do, and having 2 players from our era up there talking baseball really made me feel alot more at home with the info being discussed. Well, what I enjoyed was DJ asking Chris questions to get him involved and he played off that. DJ with Hawk throws something in and Hawk goes off on some tangent of his own. I still like to hear Hawk though, but as you said it was nice for one time to get something different.
  20. I'm enjoying DJ and Singleton together. Just saying.
  21. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 10:58 PM) Tonight on "The show" Dickerson and Carmen were saying Ozzie said Adam Russell is now being considered for the 5th spot and or the bullpen.... whitesox.com gives us this:
  22. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 18, 2007 -> 03:03 PM) I'm trying to stay classy, but when the game isn't on that makes me angry.
