  1. QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 17, 2006 -> 06:17 PM) I was pretty impressed with the debut prime time iMPACT! last night. The Rhino/Cage match was fairly brutal, the setup for Cage/Styles was effective enough, if a bit contrived, and Angle always puts on a good show. Abyss was even pretty good, and I always like James Mitchell. Even the Old Age Outlaws cut a halfway decent promo, although that new name is brutal. VOODOO KIN MAFIA???? What did they do, throw darts at words that started with V, K and M? Why not Violent Kitten Molesters? Virgin Kahlua Mudslides? Velvet KISS Mousepads? Viking Kite Makers? The LAX flag burning crap was useless, as was Kevin Nash. (No surprise about Nash being useless, that's the last 6-8 years for him) Overall, a good show, and a decent buildup for the Sunday PPV. Come on Critic, VKM = Vincent Kennedy McMahon. IT'S A SHOOT~! Nash is awesome, I don't want to see him work, but I find him funny. LAX is the hottest act in wrestling bar none. QUOTE(Brian @ Nov 17, 2006 -> 01:11 AM) It took me awhile to get used to the 6 sides. The storylines are weak right now, but they have good matches. At least 1 or 2 on every Impact. Would like to see PPVs go to different locations. I pull for TNA to get big so WWE has competition and creates interest like the late 90s. For TNA to become big, they need to create interest in their own product. In addition to getting themselves out more. They've got the hardcore internet audience, but that's it.
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 16, 2006 -> 11:31 AM) I'll say this: Aardsma is better than Tracey. Aardsma's problem is that he overthrows. I'm just disappointed because I thought Cotts would have brought in better value than he did. Oh yeah, he's better than Tracey. Fathom, what do you think of the prospect we got?
  3. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Nov 16, 2006 -> 11:25 AM) I just thought of a very scary thing...boone logan as his replacement. Hell no, we went through that BS last year. Hopefully Kenny has something else up his sleeve, history shows he does. Lets wait and see.
  4. The Cubs today acquired left-handed pitcher Neal Cotts from the White Sox in exchange for relief pitcher David Aardsma and minor-league pitcher Carlos Vasquez. More news to come EDIT: What's the deal on this Vasquez?
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 16, 2006 -> 11:10 AM) For David Aardsma....what an absolutely brutal trade by KW. I'm worried about this offseason, I really am. NM
  6. Who in the what now.... For who?
  7. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Oct 17, 2006 -> 09:31 PM) Good to see Johnny Ace putting out Generic Wank Fodder #8738923 out as the new interviewer on ECWWE. She's got as much personality as a wet paper bag. She's an ex-diva searcher. Rumor awhile back was she's "with" Batista. ---- K-Fed was the best heel on the show.
  8. Maybe this was posted before.. Trib story:
  9. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 2, 2006 -> 06:56 PM) Kenny did leave the bullpen with a void coming into 2006, but I have a hard time placing all the blame on him. Cotts was garbage. Cliff was due to come back to earth, but NO one could have predicted how bad he actually was in 06. Statistically, he might have been the worst reliever in baseball. McCarthy also was not as effective as most thought, and that falls on Mac IMO. I think Kenny made a mistake with the pen in 06, and Williams has seemed to gain more and more knowledge and smarts while on the job, and I expect him to make the pen a top priority. Cliff was hurt, doesn't matter now though.
  10. The video package for Angle was f***ing awesome. The rest of the show was sorta there. Ultimate X was off the charts as Tazz would say.
  11. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 10:32 PM) The end. I'm liking the pic with the crowd in the back. Looks like it, sadly. I can always count on you to reply to these Greasy. Everyone else....
  12. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 06:55 PM) Why have Orton beat Carlito clean when Orton violated the drug policy? Is the E really that desperate for heels? Well, rumor has the plan being another HHH-Orton fued. He's gotta look strong, plus he needed the win back after that crap with Hogan. With Carlito I guess there's been talk of him heading to ECW as heel.
  13. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 09:38 PM) I wonder if this win means anything Tomorrow will tell the story.
  14. Good game. Now start the same guys tomorrow minus Pods, and do it again.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 08:44 PM) I want Freddy to do well...but not too well to the point that KW might think he's turned the corner for next year. Sad to say, but Garcia shows me more potential to pitch decent for next year than Buehrle does. Good point. Maybe it comes down to who agrees to an extension first?
  16. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) Are we trying now? I haven't seen this since October. TRYING~!~!~!
  17. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 08:13 PM) THE FUSE IS LIT! HEY~!~!~! You owe me money for using that...
  18. What did Hawk say? QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 07:16 PM) ANybody see 'Deal or No Deal' yesterday? Guy sold his case for $650,000 but had the $3 million case in his possession. More money this season?
