  1. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 11:58 AM) From Reifert's blog: RAZOR Maybe he can give Pods a kick in the ass.
  2. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:10 AM) Win one for the Gager! I think I'm going to be sick....
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 09:33 PM) I should add, right now I'm pulling for another Twins win cause I think our best chance is both the Twins and Sox passing the Tigers in the division with both teams making the playoffs. Santana tomorrow.
  4. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 09:30 PM) Thorty picks up the save. On a sidenote, was Jenks actually up? I wasn't paying attention when they were panning to the pen but the only times I looked I swear I only saw Thorty up. Yeah, he was throwing.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 09:17 PM) That unless you want a hitter who will struggle to hit .200 in the majors, he's probably not MLB back-up caliber. Can't honestly say I want that.
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) Wow...from what I've heard and seen, people who think Stewart will be our back-up catcher next year are going to be wrong. What did you hear?
  7. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 09:01 PM) I had no problem with taking Garland out, I mean who could have seen this debacle coming. I don't disagree at all with taking him out. Just saying after seeing the pen be real itchy as of late, if he'll stick with the starters longer than he normally would. Then again he doesn't panic...
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 08:57 PM) Yep...it's amazing that you think we've had two games in the last two weeks where we were up by like 7 or 8, and the opposition ended up getting the tying run to the plate. Indeed. I wonder if Oz is going to keep the starters out there a little bit longer now.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) Choo is a very impressive hitter. Anderson seems a step slow right now on the field...I wonder if he's fatigued? Needs more speed...
  10. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 06:04 PM) yeah... espn.com isn't mentioning anything... and they said he took batting practice before yesterdays game... Official Release
  11. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 01:00 AM) Next season it will be Gomes. Just going to say things im pretty sure will be a lock for them LF:Carl Crawford, CF: Rocco Baldelli RF: Delmon Young DH: Gomes 3B: Upton C: Dioner Navarro 2B: Jorge Cantu 1B: ? SS: ? I don't follow the Rays, so I have no idea. I just happened to look at the box score and decided an upgraded was needed.
  12. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 12:41 AM) Consider this from a Devil Rays point of view. Right now they have a SS/3B combo of Ben Zobrist and B.J Upton. Now they've tried Upton at SS for a few years and it just hasn't worked. So they're going to give him 3B for the next 5-10 years I would imagine. Now he's not hitting well and he has 11 Errors in 29 games, but I would imagine they'll still give him as much time as possible to let him settle into that position. If they think right now, "No Upton's never going to be good enough for SS and 3B" then yeah they could be interested in Fields but I don't see it. They certainly don't have room in the OF for him with Baldelli, Young, Gomes just to name a few there. They're trying to build around young pitching, hence why they've made deals for the likes of J.P Howell and Mitch Talbot. All I know is that Greg Norton was their DH tonight. Need an upgrade long-term.
  13. Had to have this one, and they got it. Jon tomorrow
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 10:54 PM) WOOOO!!! It was never in doubt. Quoted for TRUTH~!~!
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 10:07 PM) Shouldn't we have Ozuna hit for Mackowiak? D'oh.
